Georgia has recorded more than 700,000 confirmed coronavirus cases since the pandemic began, according to the latest figures released Thursday afternoon by the state Department of Public Health.

The latest numbers include 701,308 cases, along with 11,511 deaths.

Over the last 24 hours, 5,969 more cases have been reported and 105 more deaths.

The Georgia Department of Public Health on Monday reported 3,559 additional confirmed cases of COVID-19. Of those cases, 57 were reported in the six Southeast Georgia counties tracked by News4Jax.

As of Monday, a total of 722,062 confirmed cases had been reported by the state Department of Public Health.

The agency on Monday reported three additional confirmed deaths related to COVID-19, bringing the state’s total to 11,854 confirmed deaths since the start of the pandemic.

On Monday, 113 additional hospitalizations were reported, bringing the state’s total to 48,498 since the outbreak began.

The Georgia Department of Public Health on Friday reported 4,843 additional confirmed cases of COVID-19.

As of Friday, a total of 741,991 confirmed cases had been reported by the state Department of Public Health.

The agency on Friday reported 136 additional confirmed deaths related to COVID-19, bringing the state’s total to 12,410 confirmed deaths since the start of the pandemic.

Georgia was reporting a total of 157,524 antigen positive cases and 1,576 “probable” deaths on Friday.

On Friday, 261 additional hospitalizations were reported, bringing the state’s total to 49,869 since the outbreak began.

The Tennessee Department of Health reported 1,777 new COVID-19 cases on Thursday, bringing the total number reported in the state to 717,583.

One hundred and one additional Tennesseans have died from COVID-19. TDH has attributed a total of 9,417 deaths to the virus.

Hospitals statewide reported 1,857 current COVID-19 patients. The active hospitalizations have decreased over the month of January and fell below 2,000 this week for the first time since mid-November.

Tuesday saw 2,996 new confirmed cases and 2,155 Antigen positive cases.

That brings the statewide total to 755,412 confirmed cases and 162,028 Antigen positive cases.

Georgia is also reporting 12,772 confirmed deaths, an increase of 162 in the past day, and 50,685 hospitalizations, an increase of 362.

As of the Georgia Department of Public Health’s latest update, the state reports that 759,228 people have tested positive for COVID-19 statewide, with 50,953 hospitalized for treatment, and 12,907 Georgians who have died to the virus.

The state report says 3,875 new cases were confirmed on Feb. 3, 2021.

The agency on Thursday reported 141 additional confirmed deaths related to COVID-19, including two in Camden County and two in Ware County, bringing the state’s total to 13,048 confirmed deaths since the start of the pandemic.

On Thursday, 294 additional hospitalizations were reported, bringing the state’s total to 51,247 since the outbreak began.

The Georgia Department of Health reported 179 new deaths from the coronavirus in a single 24-hour period.

Health officials also reported 3,285 new cases Saturday.

At least 13,324 people have died of COVID-19 in Georgia since the first cases were reported in the state last March. Another 1,766 people are likely to have died from the virus, the Department of Health reported.

There have been 772,978 cases confirmed in Georgia, an increase of 3,153 since the previous day. Over the last 14 days, the average daily increase in newly confirmed cases was 3,889 new cases a day.

There have been 51,842 total patients hospitalized in Georgia during the pandemic, an increase of 110 since the previous day according to the Department of Public Health's cumulative total.

According to Georgia's new database, as of Feb. 7, there were 3,456 current hospitalizations – a decrease of 65 hospitalizations from the previous day.
