The North Dakota Department of Health Saturday morning confirmed 85 new cases of COVID-19 in the state during testing on February 19, bringing the total positives since testing began to 99,228.

The number of currently active COVID-19 cases in the state stands at 789 as of February 19. That’s down 24 cases from February 18.

2 deaths were reported.

A total of 1,437 people have died so far in North Dakota as a result of COVID-19.

Of those, 1,188 are directly attributable to COVID-19 according to official death records. Another 237 deaths are where COVID-19 is not the primary cause of death. A total of 12 death records are pending.

39 people are currently hospitalized due to COVID-19 as of February 19, up 3 from February 18.

North Dakota health officials on Sunday confirmed 45 new positive COVID-19 cases and one new death due to the coronavirus, reflecting what have been typically low weekend numbers.

The state lab processed 2,116 tests in the last day, for a 2.6% positivity rate. More than 402,000 residents have been tested since the start of the pandemic.

The death toll stands at 1,438.

Hospitalizations rose by one, to 40, with eight patients currently being treated in intensive care units. The state's hospital tracker shows there are 29 staffed ICU beds and 322 staffed inpatient beds available across North Dakota.

The Health Department reported 94 new virus cases, increasing the pandemic total to 99,711, with 707 active cases statewide and 134 in Burleigh-Morton counties.

There have been 97,562 recoveries statewide since the onset of the pandemic last March, and 3,864 hospitalizations. Only 21 COVID-19 patients remained in a hospital Friday, down four from Thursday and about half the total at the start of the week.

North Dakota's pandemic death toll rose by one, to 1,442.

There were no new deaths were reported.

Of those, 1,194 are directly attributable to COVID-19 according to official death records. Another 237 deaths are where COVID-19 is not the primary cause of death. A total of 13 death records are pending.

Active cases statewide have risen by 154 since Monday, to 773. They've risen by 18 this week in Burleigh-Morton counties, to 89 on Thursday.

The state's pandemic death toll remained at 1,459, and current coronavirus-related hospitalizations stayed at 16.

The Health Department reported 121 new COVID-19 cases, calculating a positivity rate of 2.71% from 6,178 tests completed Wednesday. Since the onset of pandemic a year ago, there have been 101,403 confirmed cases, 99,171 recoveries and 3,905 hospitalizations.
