The Indiana State Department of Health on Sunday reported 6,844 new COVID-19 cases and 22 additional deaths.

Indiana has now seen 251,597 total cases, and 4,660 Hoosiers have died since the pandemic began.

On Saturday, the state obliterated previous new case records with 8,451 newly reported cases.

The seven-day positivity rate is at 11.3% for all tests and 21.9% for unique individuals.

Hospitalizations are at 2,628.

Indiana is using 33.8% of its ICU beds for coronavirus patients and another 40.8% for non-coronavirus patients. Another 25.5% of beds remain available.

COVID-19 patients account for 8% of the state's ventilator usage, and 74.3% of ventilators are available.

More than 3,300 additional cases of COVID-19 in Indiana schools were reported Monday by the Indiana State Department of health.

Of the additional cases reported Monday, 2,311 occurred in students, 453 occurred in teachers and 549 occurred in school staff members. The state also set a new record for most school cases reported in a single day, with more than 600 student cases reported Nov. 9. That same day, there were a record number of teacher cases and staff cases reported, 82 and 114 respectively.

The state department of health updates its dashboard of COVID-19 cases in schools weekly on Mondays and the current totals since the start of the school year are 8,217 students, 1,685 teachers and 1,971 staff members statewide — nearly 12,000 cases total.

Indiana reported 5,541 new cases of coronavirus Tuesday and an additional 84 deaths, all but four of which occurred in the past week. This is by far the greatest number of deaths reported in a single day this fall.

The seven-day average for deaths a day last week is now just slightly below where it was during the spring peak, at 40 deaths per day compared with a high of 42. An additional 255 people have died from what their doctors ruled to be coronavirus, although they did not have a confirmatory test.

About a quarter of the state's 2,159 intensive care unit beds remain open although hospitalizations continue to climb. As of Monday, nearly 200 more people were hospitalized throughout the state for COVID treatment than the previous day. Last Monday alone a record 364 people were admitted to hospitals.

How many people in Indiana hospitals with COVID-19: 2,951.

Intensive care unit bed availability: 25.2% of 2,159 beds. 36.9% of beds are occupied by COVID patients.

ISDH also reported 6,255 new COVID-19 cases. There have now been 295,357 total cases.

Indiana reported 5,606 new cases of the coronavirus Monday and an additional 27 deaths, all within the past four days. The new numbers bring the total number of cases that the state has seen since the start of the pandemic to more than 300,000.

The number of people hospitalized for COVID treatment across the state climbed once more, exceeding 3,200 as the number of people with COVID on a ventilator also rose. People with COVID are on more than 11% of the ventilators in the state, a higher percentage than at any time since the spring. Just under 72% of ventilators are available.

Intensive care unit bed availability: 24.3% of 2,158 beds. 42.4.% of beds are occupied by COVID patients.

The Indiana State Department of health reports 6,059 new cases of COVID-19 and 63 more deaths, bringing the state's total to 312,521 positive cases and 5.232 deaths. In all the state has administered more than 4 million tests since the start of the pandemic.

The state has 21.8 percent of ICU beds available. As of Tuesday, there were 3,363 COVID-19 patients in Indiana hospitals — another single-day high.

On Thanksgiving Day, the Indiana State Department of Health reported 6,434 new COVID-19 cases and 63 more deaths.

These additions bring the state's case total over 318,000 and the total deaths to 5,295.

The number of people in Indiana hospitals with COVID-19: 3,384.

These additions bring the state's case total up to 324,537 and the total deaths to 5,328.

Health officials today announced that 4,535 additional Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19 through testing, bringing to 329,008 the number of Indiana residents now known to have had the novel coronavirus following corrections to the previous day’s dashboard.

A total of 5,394 Hoosiers are confirmed to have died from COVID-19, an increase of 66 from the previous day, the Indiana Department of Health said in a statement. It said another 269 probable deaths have been reported based on clinical diagnoses in patients for whom no positive test is on record.

Public health officials in Indiana said Sunday that 24 more people have died from coronavirus for a total of 5,418 COVID-19 deaths in the state.

The Indiana Department of Health reported 4,335 new confirmed cases of COVID-19. Overall, there have been 333,312 cases.

Public health officials say there are another 267 people who are likely to have died from COVID-19 based on clinical diagnoses but for whom there’s no positive test on record.

Indiana reported 5,713 new cases of the coronavirus Monday and an additional 38 deaths, all in the past five days. The state's totals since the start of the pandemic now stand at 338,977 cases and 5,456 deaths.

Hospitalizations, however, are not showing a similar pattern. Monday the state's online coronavirus dashboard reported more than 3,400 people hospitalized across the state for COVID, another record breaker.

The Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) reported 5,518 more positive coronavirus cases and announced 142 additional confirmed COVID-19 deaths Tuesday.

The latest hospitalization numbers show 3,460 total COVID-19 patients: 2,897 confirmed and 563 under investigation.

ISDH says 24.2% of ICU beds and 71% of ventilators are available across the state.

The Indiana State Department of Health is reporting 6,655 new COVID-19 cases as Indiana goes over 350,000 total positive cases. The 7-day positivity rate among unique individuals is now at 22.2 percent.

There were also 91 more deaths bringing the death toll in Indiana to 5,688 since the pandemic began.

Indiana health officials are reporting 8,527 more COVID-19 cases and 60 more deaths on Thursday.

Statewide, 3,362 patients are hospitalized with COVID-19.

At least 5,748 Hoosiers have died from the coronavirus as of Thursday, and there have been at least 359,430 positive cases throughout the state since the start of the pandemic.

As of Friday, 3,289 people were hospitalized in Indiana due to COVID-19. More than 43% of ICU beds in the state are occupied due to the virus.

The Indiana State Department of Heath on Saturday reported 7,793 new cases of COVID-19 among Indiana residents, bringing the number of Hoosiers who have tested positive for the virus to 375,019 since the start of the pandemic in early March.

ISDH reported 78 additional deaths Saturday that occurred between Nov. 26 and Friday, bringing the state's total of confirmed deaths from the virus to 5,910.

The Indiana State Department of Health is reporting 6,678 new cases of COVID-19 among Indiana residents. Today's number brings Indiana's total number of cases since March to 381,617.

With 34 additional deaths of Hoosiers who tested positive for virus that occurred between March 15 and Saturday, Indiana has now lost 5,944 residents to COVID-19.

Another 297 probable deaths have been reported based on patients who died with COVID-19 symptoms but with no positive test recorded.

The Indiana State Department of Health is reporting 5,457 new cases of COVID-19 and 124 more deaths from the virus. That brings the state's total to 392,663 positive cases and 6,109 confirmed deaths since the start of the pandemic.

The positivity rate between Nov. 25 and Dec. 1 was 16.8 percent for all tests and 27.6 percent for unique individuals.

Indiana reported 5,853 new COVID-19 cases and 98 related deaths Wednesday.

The Indiana State Department of Health confirmed a total of 398,417 positive coronavirus cases in the state, including 6,207 deaths.

The Indiana State Department of Health is reporting 6,604 more positive cases and 96 additional deaths from COVID-19. That brings Indiana's totals to 404,935 cases and 6,302 confirmed deaths. Another 301 deaths are considered "probable," meaning COVID-19 is believed to have contributed to a patient's death, but there was no positive COVID test result on file.

The positivity rate remains high: 13.9 percent for all tests between Nov. 27 and Dec. 3, and 26.7 percent for unique individuals in the same time span.

More than 43 percent of the state's ICU beds are in use by COVID patients. There are just over 20 percent of ICU beds available. On Wednesday, there were 3,221 people being treated for coronavirus in Indiana hospitals.

A total of 419,536 Hoosiers are now known to have had the novel coronavirus, according to ISDH.

A total of 6,458 Hoosiers are confirmed to have died from COVID-19, with another 300 probable deaths reported based on clinical diagnoses in patients for whom no positive test is on record.
