There were 624 new, confirmed cases from 10 a.m. Tuesday to 10 a.m. Wednesday, according to the state’s dashboard, bringing the state’s total number of cases to 330,436.

The state’s death toll is 5,306, which is 43 more than reported yesterday.

As of Wednesday morning, there were 44 patients hospitalized in Iowa within the last 24 hours and the total number of hospitalizations is 235, a decrease from 255 hospitalized the day before. Of those, 52 are in the ICU (down from 57), and 20 are on ventilators (down from 25).

At 10 a.m. Thursday, Iowa reported another 628 cases of COVID-19 and 15 additional COVID-19-related deaths since the state's tally at 10 a.m. Wednesday, according to Coronavirus.Iowa.gov.

Officials report a total of 5,321 people with COVID-19 have died from the disease across the state, including 72 in Johnson County.

The novel coronavirus is expected to be the third-leading cause of death in Iowa in 2020, behind just heart disease and cancer, according to 2017 Centers for Disease Control and Prevention data.

At 10 a.m. Thursday, the state reported 65 people with the virus were being hospitalized in the state's fifth RMCC, which includes Clinton, Des Moines, Henry, Iowa, Jackson, Jefferson, Johnson, Keokuk, Lee, Muscatine, Scott, Van Buren, Wapello and Washington counties, as well as 24 patients in the region's intensive care units.

The state’s death toll is 5,336, which is 0 more than reported yesterday.

As of Saturday morning, there were 34 patients hospitalized in Iowa within the last 24 hours and the total number of hospitalizations is 238, a decrease from 241 hospitalized the day before. Of those, 34 are in the ICU (down from 43), and 24 are on ventilators (down from 26).

The state has reported a total of 13,671 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Johnson County, an increase of 17 since 10 a.m. Saturday.

The Iowa Department of Public Health on Monday reported an additional 38 COVID-19 deaths and 189 more positive cases of the virus.

As of 10:30 a.m. the state is reporting a total of 332,762 individuals have tested positive for COVID-19 and 5,374 people have died with COVID-19 in Iowa since the pandemic began.

The state lists COVID-19 as the underlying cause of 4,833 of the reported deaths, while the virus was a contributing factor in 541 of the reported deaths.

The state reports a total of 222 people are hospitalized with the virus in Iowa. That’s a decrease from the 229 people reportedly hospitalized on Sunday.

The state reported 22 people were admitted to Iowa hospitals in the last 24 hours. There are currently 54 COVID-19 patients in the ICU and 25 on ventilators.

Iowa reported 621 new coronavirus cases and 26 new deaths due to the coronavirus Tuesday.

The new numbers bring the state’s total of cases to 333,383 and deaths to 5,400, according to the Iowa Department of Public Health. Iowa’s seven-day average for cases is 510.

The 621 new cases come from 18,581 tests over the 24-hour period as of 11 a.m

Across the state, hospitalizations rose from 222 to 227 within the 24-hour period ending at 11 a.m. Tuesday. Patients in intensive care rose from 54 to 58, and patients on ventilators remained at 25.

Subtracting the number of recoveries (312,841) and the number of deaths (5,438) from the total number of cases (334,758) shows there are currently 16,479 active positive cases in the state.

As of Thursday morning, there were 44 patients hospitalized in Iowa within the last 24 hours and the total number of hospitalizations is 227, a decrease from 233 hospitalized the day before. Of those, 55 are in the ICU (down from 57), and 22 are on ventilators (down from 23).

The Iowa Department of Public Health reported Friday a total of 196 patients currently hospitalized in Iowa with COVID-19, the first time that number has dropped below 200 since July.

The number of COVID-19 patients in the ICU (46) and on ventilators (18) also reached their lowest points since July in Friday's report.

Subtracting the number of recoveries (315,448) and the number of deaths (5,472) from the total number of cases (336,331) shows there are currently 15,141 active positive cases in the state.

As of Monday morning, there were 39 patients hospitalized in Iowa within the last 24 hours and the total number of hospitalizations is 197, an increase from 196 hospitalized the day before. Of those, 48 are in the ICU (down from 50), and 15 are on ventilators (down from 19).

In Iowa, there were 1,283 people tested in the last 24 hours, and a total of 1,559,193 people have been tested for COVID-19.

The new numbers bring the state’s total number of cases to 336,967 and the number of reported virus deaths to 5,498, according to Iowa Department of Public Health data.

Iowa’s 456 new cases come from 2,666 new individual tests, according to state data.

Across the state, COVID-19 hospitalizations went from 197 to 209. Patients in the ICU went from 48 to 39 and patients on ventilators went from 15 to 11.

COVID-19 has now killed more than 5,500 people in Iowa since the virus appeared in the state last March.

The state reported three new, confirmed deaths during the 24-hour period ending at 11 a.m. Wednesday, bringing Iowa’s death toll to 5,501.

Iowa added 627 new COVID-19 cases in the 24-hour period, according to the Iowa Department of Public Health, bringing the state’s total number of cases to 337,594.

The new cases came from 3,561 individual tests, for a one-day positivity rate of 17.6 percent.

Across the state, COVID-19 hospitalizations dropped from 209 to 191.

Patients in intensive care nudged downward, from 39 to 40.

The number of on ventilators to help them breathe remained at 11 — the lowest number of patients on ventilators recorded since the state started releasing that data on March 31, 2020.

A total of 173 people in Iowa are in the hospital with the virus, with 33 people having been admitted in the last 24 hours. There are currently 39 patients in the ICU and 10 on ventilators.

The state lists COVID-19 as the underlying cause of 5,036 of the reported deaths, while the virus was a contributing factor in 594 of the reported deaths.

A total of 168 people in Iowa are in the hospital with the virus, with 41 people having been admitted in the last 24 hours. There are currently 36 patients in the ICU and 13 on ventilators.

Iowa on Wednesday reported 565 new COVID-19 cases and nine new, confirmed deaths.

To date, 343,912 Iowans have tested positive for the virus, and 5,666 have died, according to the Iowa Department of Public Health.

Of the new cases, 73 were among young people up to the age of 17, bringing the total number of children who have tested positive for the virus to 39,219.

Wednesday’s nine confirmed deaths took place between Jan. 31 and March 13.

Across the state, COVID-19 hospitalizations dipped slightly from 162 to 161 Wednesday.

The number of patients in intensive care units ticked up from 40 to 41 and patients on ventilators remained at 21.
