On Sunday, 1,392 people were hospitalized in Iowa, up from 1,279 on Saturday. Hospitals admitted 243 patients, up from 208. The state updates its website each evening with that day's hospitalization data.

Also, there were 271 patients in the ICU, up from 247 on Saturday. There were 123 patients on ventilators, up from 115 the day prior.

At 10 a.m. Monday, the state was reporting 1,991 COVID-19-related deaths, an increase of six deaths since the state's tally at 10 a.m. Sunday, according to the state's Coronavirus.Iowa.gov website.

The state was reporting at 10 a.m. Monday that there are 187,020 confirmed cases of coronavirus, an increase of 2,335 since 10 a.m. Sunday.

At 10 a.m. Tuesday, Iowa reported an additional 3,563 cases of COVID-19 and 33 additional COVID-19-related deaths since the state's tally at 10 a.m. Monday, according to Coronavirus.Iowa.gov.

Officials report a total of 2,024 people with COVID-19 have died from the disease across the state, including 35 in Johnson County.

At 10 a.m. Tuesday, the state reported a record 363 people with the virus were being hospitalized in the state's fifth RMCC, which includes Clinton, Des Moines, Henry, Iowa, Jackson, Jefferson, Johnson, Keokuk, Lee, Muscatine, Scott, Van Buren, Wapello and Washington counties, as well as a record 87 patients in the region's intensive care units. The region last peaked at 313 hospitalized patients and 86 in its ICUs on Monday.

Officials also reported a record 1,510 COVID-19 patients hospitalized across the state Tuesday morning, including a record 288 in ICUs; the previous highs were 1,392 and 271, reported Monday.

As of 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, the Iowa Department of Public Health said that 3,627 individuals with COVID-19 were added to the state’s total since the same time on Friday, which now stands at 206,660. 115,732 people are now considered recovered from the disease.

32 additional people were identified as having died from COVID-19, with the state’s total since the pandemic began now at 2,159.

1,416 people are hospitalized due to the disease, a net decrease of 31 since Friday morning’s report. 273 of those patients are in intensive care units, a net decrease of two. 137 require the use of a ventilator, a net decrease of seven. 200 people were newly-admitted to hospitals in Iowa over the last 24 hours.

As of 10 a.m. Sunday, the Iowa DPH website reports 210,061 confirmed cases statewide since Iowa’s outbreak began.

The DPH confirmed 3,401 additional COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours.

The Iowa DPH reported 33 additional COVID-19 deaths for a statewide death toll of 2,192. The website said 1,307 of the state’s deaths involved Iowans with preexisting conditions.

Iowa DPH reports 1,340 hospitalizations, of which 255 Iowans are in intensive care units. Iowa hospitals admitted 186 in the last 24 hours, compared to 284 admitted the day before.

At 10 a.m. Tuesday, Iowa reported an additional 3,860 cases of COVID-19 and 19 additional COVID-19-related deaths since the state's tally at 10 a.m. Monday, according to Coronavirus.Iowa.gov.

Officials report a total of 2,224 people with COVID-19 have died from the disease across the state, including 35 in Johnson County.

By contrast, officials reported 103 influenza-related deaths across the entire state in the 2019-20 flu season, and the novel coronavirus will likely be the third-leading cause of death in Iowa in 2020, behind just heart disease and cancer, according to 2017 Centers for Disease Control and Prevention data.

Officials also reported 1,351 COVID-19 patients hospitalized across the state Tuesday morning, including 275 in ICUs

The Iowa Department of Public Health reported 47 more Iowans died of COVID-19. That’s a new record for single-day deaths reported in the state since the pandemic began.

The state also reported 3,365 more Iowans tested positive for the virus over the last 24 hours.

As of 10:30 a.m. on November 25 the state’s website showed a total of 218,947 Iowans have tested positive and a total of 2,271 Iowans have died from the virus since the pandemic began.

According to the data the state makes available, the positivity rate over the last 24 hours was 39.3 percent.

There are currently 1,305 Iowans hospitalized with the virus, with 198 having been admitted in the last 24 hours. Of the hospitalized patients, 269 are in the ICU and 150 are on ventilators.

There were 2,239 new, confirmed cases from 10 a.m. Friday to 10 a.m. Saturday, according to the state's dashboard, which brings the state's total number of cases to 225,783.

The state is reporting 11 additional deaths within this time frame, bringing the state's death toll to 2,360.

There were 127 patients hospitalized in Iowa within the last 24 hours and the total number of hospitalizations is 1,221, which is down from 1,226. Of those hospitalizations, 244 are in the ICU (down from 256 yesterday) and 146 are on ventilators (up from 141 yesterday).

As of 10 a.m. Sunday, the Iowa DPH website reports 227,796 confirmed cases statewide since Iowa’s outbreak began.

The DPH confirmed 2,013 additional COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours.

The Iowa DPH reported 15 additional COVID-19 deaths for a statewide death toll of 2,375. The website said 1,334 of the state’s deaths involved Iowans with preexisting conditions.

Iowa DPH reports 1,175 hospitalizations, of which 235 Iowans are in intensive care units. Iowa hospitals admitted 131 in the last 24 hours, compared to 127 admitted the day before.

Public health data shows Iowa added 1,878 coronavirus cases in a 24-hour period ending at 11 a.m. Tuesday.

Iowa also confirmed 24 additional COVID-19 deaths in the period, bringing the total number of Iowans who have died because of the virus to 2,427.

Hospitalizations across the state ticked up again, rising from 1,162 to 1,172. Patients in intensive care increased from 224 to 235 but patients on ventilators dipped from 147 to 144.

There were 2,926 new, confirmed cases from 10 a.m. Wednesday to 10 a.m. Thursday, according to the state's dashboard, which brings the state's total number of cases to 236,792.

The state's website says that of the 236,792 people who have tested positive, 147,152 have recovered. This is 4,903 more recoveries than what the state reported Wednesday.

The state is reporting 70 additional deaths within this time frame, bringing the state's death toll to 2,519. While this is the highest number of deaths reported in 24 hours, there are still no deaths reported from December, according to the state's dashboard.

Subtracting the number of recoveries (147,152) and the number of deaths (2,519) from the total number of cases (236,792) shows there are currently 87,121 active positive cases in the state.

There were 136 patients hospitalized in Iowa within the last 24 hours and the total number of hospitalizations is 1,124, which is down from 1,164. Of those hospitalizations, 224 are in the ICU (down from 226 yesterday) and 131 are on ventilators (the same as yesterday).

Over the last 24 hours, the state reported an additional 84 COVID-19 deaths and another 2,901 positive tests.

As of 10:30 a.m. on December 4 the state’s data shows a total of 239,693 Iowans have tested positive for COVID-19, and 2,603 Iowans have died.

According to the data the state makes available, the positivity rate over the last 24 hours was 38.2 percent.

Hospitalizations continue to decline in the state. Data from the state’s website currenlty shows a total of 1,000 Iowans are in the hospital with the virus. That’s the lowest number of COVID-19 hospitalizations in nearly a month. Of those hospitalized, 123 were admitted in the last 24 hours, 209 are in the ICU and 128 are on ventilators.

The Iowa Department of Public Health on Saturday reported another 62 additional COVID-19 deaths in the state as 2,371 more people contracted the virus. Iowa has reported 216 additional virus deaths in just the last three days.

As of 10 a.m., the health department reported 242,062 total coronavirus cases, 157,028 total recoveries and 2,665 total deaths since the pandemic began. The state reported 239,691 total cases and 2,603 total deaths a day earlier.

Virus hospitalizations dipped below 1,000 for the first time since Nov. 10 on Saturday. There are currently 960 Iowans hospitalized with Covid-19, down from 1,000 a day earlier. There were 131 patients admitted in the last 24 hours, an increase of 8 from the previous day. There are currently 204 patients in intensive care, down from 209 a day earlier. The state reports 117 patients on ventilators, a decrease of 11 patients from the previous day.

Iowa reports approximately 2,980 available inpatient beds, 359 ICU beds and 851 ventilators available. Hospitalization analysis shows 696 of those hospitalized had a primary COVID-19 diagnosis, while 264 were hospitalized for another reason but tested positive.

State health officials reported 1,869 new positive cases in Iowa between 10 a.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. Sunday, this according to the COVID-19 dashboard.

At 10 a.m. Saturday, the Iowa Department of Public Health reported 242,062 total positive cases since the pandemic began. That number rose to 243,931 by 10 a.m. Sunday.

On Sunday, the state reported 17 additional virus-related deaths, bringing the state's death toll to 2,682.

Subtracting the number of recoveries (158,994) and the number of deaths (2,682) from the total number of confirmed cases (243,931) shows there are currently 82,255 active COVID-19 cases in Iowa.

According to the health department's latest report, 918 Iowans are hospitalized due to the virus, which is down from 960 reported yesterday. Out of those hospitalizations, 195 are in the ICU with 122 on ventilators.

The state was reporting at 10 a.m. Monday that there are 244,844 confirmed cases of coronavirus, an increase of 913 since 10 a.m. Sunday.

On Sunday, 898 people were hospitalized in Iowa, down from 918 on Saturday, according to the latest information available from the state. Hospitals admitted 94 patients, down from 141.

Also, there were 200 patients in the ICU on Sunday, up from 195 on Saturday. There were 120 patients on ventilators, down from 122.

The Iowa Department of Public Health on Tuesday reported 1,393 new COVID-19 cases as four more long-term care facilities reported outbreaks.

As of 10 a.m., the state reported 246,237 total positive cases, 168,055 total recoveries and 2,898 total deaths since the start of the pandemic. A day earlier, the health department reported 244,844 total cases and 2,717 total deaths.

The health department now lists the total number of virus deaths, deaths with COVID-19 as an underlying cause and deaths with the virus as a contributing factor separately. The state lists 2,650 underlying cause deaths and 248 contributing factor deaths.

The health department reports 900 patients hospitalized with the virus, up from 898 a day earlier. The number hospitalized in the last 24 hours increased by 17, now at 111. There are 191 patients in intensive care, down from 200 the previous day. Iowa reports 111 patients on ventilators, down from 120 the previous day.

The Iowa Department of Public Health is reporting 2,545 additional Iowans have tested positive for the COVID-19 and 102 additional deaths were reported over the last 24 hours.

As of 10:30 a.m. on December 9, state data shows a total of 3,021 deaths related to COVID-19. 2,768 of those reported deaths listed COVID-19 as the underlying cause of the death, and 253 listed COVID-19 as a contributing factor.

The state’s data shows a total of 248,782 Iowans have tested positive for the virus since the pandemic began.

There are currently a total of 894 Iowans hospitalized, with 141 having been admitted in the last 24 hours. Of those patients, 196 are in the ICU and 120 are on ventilators.

The state’s data shows a total of 253,085 Iowans have tested positive for COVID-19 since the pandemic began.

Of the Iowans who were reported to have died, 2,930 listed COVID-19 as the underlying cause of death and 267 listed COVID-19 as a contributing factor.

There are currently a total of 833 Iowans hospitalized, with 128 having been admitted in the last 24 hours. Of those patients, 175 are in the ICU and 97 are on ventilators.
