The Ohio Department of Health reported 1,806 additional coronavirus cases on Friday and in its twice-weekly update for deaths included an additional 209 COVID-19 fatalities.

To date, Ohio has now reported 986,740 cases, 51,438 hospitalizations and 17,871 deaths.

Across Ohio, 947 patients were hospitalized with coronavirus on Friday, the Ohio Hospital Association’s daily survey found. This included 234 in intensive care units. These numbers had peaked at 5,308 patients, with 1,318 in ICU beds on Dec. 15. The low of 823 patients was reported on Sunday.

The Ohio Department of Health reports 1,558 cases and 78 hospitalizations due to the coronavirus on Saturday.

The update brings the cumulative totals to 988,298 cases and 7,266 deaths.

Ohio fell under 1,000 hospitalized patients on March 5, and, on March 13, the number dropped to 894.

The Ohio Department of Health reported Sunday that the number of confirmed or probable infections of the novel coronavirus had risen to 989,191, up 893 since Saturday.

The state did not report any new deaths in the last 24 hours. At last update, the number of deaths attributed to COVID-19 in Ohio stands at 17,871.

The state reported 1,558 new cases Saturday.

In the past 24 hours, COVID-19 hospitalizations statewide rose by 35, which is far lower than the 21-day rolling average of 104 daily hospitalizations. Two COVID-19 patients were transferred to the ICU in the past 24 hours

Ohio reported 1,458 more coronavirus cases on Wednesday, still below the 21-day average of 1,604.

Hospitalizations and ICU admissions reported were also under the 21-day average. A state dashboard shows zero deaths.

Total cases reached 993,681 on Wednesday.

Ohio reported 2,104 more coronavirus cases on Thursday, the first day the state has been over 2,000 cases since March 3.

New hospitalizations almost doubled from Wednesday to Thursday, according to Gov. Mike DeWine, going from 81 reported on Wednesday to 156 on Thursday.

Total cases reached 995,785 on Thursday.

The Ohio Department of Health reported 1,483 new COVID-19 cases, 50 new hospitalizations on Saturday.

The updated numbers bring the cumulative totals to 998,819 coronavirus cases with 52,099 cumulative hospitalizations and 18,340 total deaths.

Ohio fell under 1,000 hospitalized COVID-19 patients on March 5. On March 19, the number dropped to 855.

As of March 26, a total of 1,008,913 (+2,742) cases have been reported since the pandemic began, leading to 52,650 (+111) hospitalizations and 7,383 (+14) ICU admissions.

The Department of Health is updating the total number of deaths only after death certificates have been processed, usually twice a week. The last total is 18,382.

As of Tuesday, a total of 1,015,577 (+2,458) cases have been reported since the pandemic began, leading to 52,968 (+151) hospitalizations and 7,416 (+7) ICU admissions. A total of 3,322,481 Ohioans — 28.42% of the state’s population — have started the vaccination process.

The Department of Health is updating the total number of deaths only after death certificates have been processed, usually twice a week. The latest total is 18,609.

There have been 1,017,566 total confirmed and probable cases of COVID-19 in the state since the pandemic began, which includes an addition of 1,989 cases reported today, along with a total of 18,609 deaths (including zero additional fatalities reported today).

The total number of hospitalizations because of the virus since the pandemic began is now 53,076 people. There were 108 hospitalizations reported in the last 24 hours, and 13 people were reported admitted to the ICU during that time.

As of Friday, July 30, a total of 1,127,808 (+1,183) cases have been reported since the start of the pandemic, leading to 61,897 (+64) hospitalizations and 8,465 (+7) ICU admissions. A total of 5,755,714 Ohioans — 49.24% of the state’s population — has started the vaccination process.

ODH reported an additional two deaths Friday, bringing the total to 20,492.
