Another 7,814 Ohioans tested positive for the coronavirus as of Wednesday, bringing the statewide case total to 742,817.

Wednesday's cases were more than the three-week average of 7,526, according to the Ohio Department of Health.

An additional 121 COVID-19 deaths were reported Wednesday, which marks the 10th-highest number of virus-related deaths reported in a single day in Ohio.

The deaths reported Wednesday were also more than the three-week average of 76 virus deaths reported per day, according to the state. So far, the virus has killed 9,368 Ohioans.

Another 454 Ohioans were hospitalized for the virus Wednesday, which is more than the three-week average of 320 hospitalizations reported a day. As of Wednesday, 4,319 Ohioans remained hospitalized with COVID-19, according to the state.

Ohio added 10,251 new COVID-19 cases and 94 deaths to the state's total on Thursday.

According to this week's ICU map, the statewide average for the percentage of Ohio's ICU patients who were COVID-positive was 28.8%. At the beginning of November, about 15% of Ohio’s ICU patients were COVID-19 positive, or about 1 out of every 7. Last week, it was at 31%.

Another 8,374 Ohioans tested positive for COVID-19 as of Saturday, marking the second straight day of declines in new cases, but still above the three-week average, according to the Ohio Department of Health.

On Thursday, 10,251 cases were reported, and on Friday, 9,535.

The number of new cases tends to drop on weekends. The statewide total now is 770,977.

Deaths rose Saturday by 55, which is less than the three-week average of 75 new deaths reported per day. So far, the virus has killed 9,599, according to the state.

An additional 270 Ohioans were hospitalized with COVID-19 by Saturday.

Admissions to intensive care units increased Saturday by 22, which is less than the three-week average of 32 new ICU admissions a day.

As of Saturday, 4,007 Ohioans remained hospitalized with COVID-19, a slight decline from 4,062 on Friday. Of those who remained hospitalized on Saturday, 987 were in ICUs and 618 on ventilators, according to the state.

Ohio reported 6,088 new coronavirus cases Sunday, marking the third straight day of declines in new cases and well below the state’s three-week average of new cases.

There have now been 777,065 coronavirus cases in Ohio, according to the state's new data.

The state health department also reported 28 new coronavirus deaths Sunday, which was about half of the 55 new deaths reported Saturday and well below the three-week daily average of 75 deaths.

To date, COVID-19 has cost 9,627 residents their lives.

Sunday’s data also shows 101 new hospitalizations, which was a drop from the 270 that were reported Saturday, and 12 new ICU admissions which was down from the 22 reported on Saturday.

There have now been 41,158 Ohioans hospitalized since the pandemic began and another 6,160 admitted to intensive care units with COVID-19.

The Ohio Department of Health reported 7,892 new COVID-19 cases in the state today, bringing the total number of cases to 784,957.

There have been 696,826 confirmed COVID-19 cases to date, which account for 88% of total cases.

There have now been 9,702 coronavirus-related deaths across the state; 75 new deaths were reported today, equal to the 21-day average.

The ODH reported 219 new hospitalizations today, with 28 ICU admissions. There are currently 4,056 COVID-19 patients in Ohio's hospitals and 971 COVID-19 patients in the ICU.

Non-COVID patients are currently occupying 55% of the state's hospital beds, according to ODH. COVID-positive patients account for 14%, leaving 29% of beds currently available. COVID patients make up 19% of the state's ICU beds, non-COVID patients are occupying 54% of ICU beds, and 25% of ICU beds are currently open.

The Ohio Department of Health reported 7,981 new COVID-19 cases in the state today, bringing the total number of cases to 792,938.

There have been 702,846 confirmed COVID-19 cases to date, which account for 89% of total cases.

There have now been 9,802 coronavirus-related deaths across the state; 100 new deaths were reported today, higher than the 21-day average of 74.

The ODH reported 486 new hospitalizations today, with 49 ICU admissions. There are currently 4,010 COVID-19 patients in Ohio's hospitals, and 968 COVID-19 patients in the ICU.

Non-COVID patients are currently occupying 59.14% of the state's hospital beds, according to ODH. COVID-positive patients account for 14.48%, leaving 26.37% of beds currently available. COVID patients make up 19.93% of the state's ICU beds, non-COVID patients are occupying 55.58% of ICU beds, and 24.49% of ICU beds are currently open.

Coronavirus deaths during the 10-month-old pandemic hit five figures on Friday as the state reported 67 additional fatalities to raise the death toll to 10,057.

COVID-19 now is the third-leading cause of death in Ohio, trailing only heart disease and cancer, and surpassing accidents, drug overdoses and all other causes.

State health officials also reported 7,149 new COVID-19 cases on Friday

An additional 316 Ohioans were hospitalized, bringing the number of patients now receiving care to 3,793 — a decline of 12% over the past three weeks. A total of 945 people were hospitalized in intensive-care units.

The Ohio Department of Health reported Sunday that the number of confirmed or probable infections of the novel coronavirus had risen to 826,754, up 5,247 since Saturday.

The number of Ohioans have died with the coronavirus rose by 65, to 10,200.

COVID-19 hospitalizations statewide rose by 141 in the past 24 hours, which is lower than the 21-day rolling average of 305 daily hospitalizations. Ten COVID-19 patients were transferred to the ICU in the past 24 hours, also down from the 21-day rolling average of 30.

Ohio reported 6,378 new COVID-19 cases and 73 deaths Wednesday.

In total, 842,433 Ohioans have tested positive for the novel coronavirus or been diagnosed with COVID-19 and 10,409 have died due to the disease during the pandemic.

The Ohio Department of Health reported an additional 404 hospital admissions, including 39 in intensive care, bringing the cumulative total to 44,009 COVID-19 patients hospitalized at some point during the pandemic.

On Wednesday, 3,566 COVID-19 patients were being treated in hospitals statewide, including 870 in intensive care units, the Ohio Hospital Association reported.

Across the state, Ohio officials reported 7,271 new coronavirus cases on Thursday, above the 21-day rolling average of 7,111.

In all, there have been 849,704 cases since the pandemic began last year.

Deaths were also above the 21-day average on Thursday: 109 more people have died in Ohio with COVID-19, bringing the total to 10,518 deaths. The 21-day average is 74.

The Ohio Department of Health reported 81 deaths and 4,278 new COVID-19 cases in statistics updated Thursday afternoon.

As of 2 p.m., the state’s COVID-19 dashboard showed 10,599 deaths, 853,982 cases, 44,519 hospitalizations, 6,485 admissions to intensive care and 720,171 presumed recoveries.

The dashboard also showed 3,270 people hospitalized with the virus, 136 fewer than on Thursday, and the number of patients currently in intensive-care units was 819, 845, 26 fewer than on Thursday.

The daily total and three-week averages for cases, deaths, hospitalizations and ICU admissions are as follows: cases, 4,278, 7,314; deaths, 81, 78; hospitalizations, 204, 295; and ICU admissions, 20, 29.

Ohio added another 4,481 coronavirus cases Sunday, continuing a downward trend of new cases recently.

Sunday's new cases bring the statewide total to 864,322, according to the state.

Another 31 COVID-19 deaths were reported Sunday, which is less than the three-week average of 78 new virus deaths reported per week. So far, the virus has killed 10,711 Ohioans, state data show.

An additional 98 Ohioans were hospitalized with COVID-19 by Sunday, which is less than the three-week average of 285 new hospital admissions per day. As of Sunday, 2,993 Ohioans remained hospitalized with COVID-19, including 764 in intensive care units and 532 on ventilators, according to the state.

Ohio reported 4,334 COVID-19 new cases and 57 deaths on Monday, continuing a trend of declining infections and hospitalizations in recent weeks.

In total, 44,981 people have been hospitalized with COVID-19 at one point during the pandemic, with 198 newly reported since Sunday.

On Monday, 3,037 COVID-19 patients occupied hospital beds statewide, including 760 in intensive care, the Ohio Hospital Association reported.

The 57 deaths reported Monday brings the cumulative total to 10,768.

In other data from the pandemic, there were 75 newly reported deaths, bringing the death total to 10,931. Another 5,366 cases brought the total cases during the pandemic up to 878,284.

Cumulatively, Ohio has reported 888,590 confirmed or probable cases of COVID-19 and 11,070 deaths due to the disease caused by the novel coronavirus.

On Friday, 2,704 COVID-19 patients were being treated in hospitals statewide, the lowest number since Nov. 9, according to Ohio Hospital Association data. That includes 657 in intensive care units.

The Ohio Department of Health reported Saturday afternoon that the state has 4,191 new coronavirus cases, down from Friday’s new cases.

This brings the total number of cases to 892,781 which includes confirmed and probable COVID-19 cases.

A total of 11,121 people have died from COVID-19, up 51 from Friday.

The updated numbers bring the cumulative totals to 895,792 coronavirus cases with 46,215 cumulative hospitalizations and 11,175 total deaths.

Cumulatively, Ohio has recorded 899,079 confirmed and probable cases of the novel coronavirus and 11,230 deaths due to COVID-19.

On Monday, an estimated 2,521 COVID-19 patients were being treated in hospitals statewide, including 652 in intensive care units.

In the last 24 hours, 3,991 COVID-19 cases, 94 fatalities, 214 hospitalizations and 36 intensive care unit admissions were reported to the Ohio Department of Health.

Deaths rose by 81 on Saturday, which is more than the three-week average of 72 new deaths reported per day. So far, the virus has killed a total of 11,652 Ohioans, according to the state.
