A total of 48 new COVID-19 deaths were reported Friday. Those who died ranged in age from their early 30s to more than 100 years-old.

The state also diagnosed 2,387 new cases from 49,001 tests bringing the cumulative case load to 431,944 infections since March.

There are 759 patients hospitalized with 130 in critical condition.

The state of Minnesota reported that 2,489 more Minnesotans have tested positive for COVID-19 and 43 more residents have died from the illness as of Saturday, Jan. 9.

The state has now lost 5,663 people to the illness.

Forty-four more Minnesotans have died of COVID-19, the Minnesota Department of Health said Sunday, for a total of 5,707.

MDH also said Sunday there have been 436,572 total cases of COVID-19 in Minnesota.

The most recent data available show 130 Minnesotans are hospitalized in intensive care with COVID-19, and 629 are in the hospital with COVID-19 not in intensive care.

Minnesota gained 980 new cases on Monday, 19% of which are probable cases determined through antigen tests and the rest are confirmed cases through PCR tests, according to Monday's report from the Minnesota Department of Health.

Another four Minnesotans died from COVID-19, none of whom are from the St. Cloud area, according to MDH.

The number of people who tested positive for the novel coronavirus reached a total of 437,552 cases on Monday, including 420,716 confirmed and 16,836 probable, according to MDH.

Since the start of the pandemic, 5,711 have died of COVID-19. The deaths include 5,509 people with confirmed test results, according to the Health Department, and 202 more deaths are listed as probable cases of COVID-19.

New daily hospitalizations have remained under 100 since Dec. 31. And as of Monday, 22,713 people have required hospitalization in the state for COVID-19 infections.

A day after the Minnesota Department of Health announced that hospitals can start distributing the vaccine to anyone 65 years and older, they also reported an additional 1,640 cases of COVID and 33 deaths.

The update from MDH shows the state’s total case count at 443,562, while 5,850 people have died.

As of Thursday afternoon, there were 612 people in Minnesota hospitals with the virus, of which 125 were in the ICU. Since March, a total of 23,185 people have been hospitalized due to COVID.

Minnesota health officials on Saturday reported an additional 1,529 cases of COVID and 37 deaths.

Minnesota Department of Health’s daily update shows that the new numbers bring the state’s total case count to 445,047. Since March, 5,887 people have died.

The Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) reported 1,364 new COVID-19 cases Sunday, along with 40 new deaths.

The total number of Minnesotans who have tested positive for the virus since the pandemic began is now 446,380, with 17,861 of those as antigen test results.

MDH says 40 new deaths from the virus were reported. That pushes the total number of fatalities in Minnesota to 5,887.

To date, 23,367 Minnesotans have been hospitalized with the coronavirus since the pandemic started, with 4,879 of them needing care in the ICU.

Twelve more Minnesotans have died of COVID-19, the Minnesota Department of Health said Monday, for a total of 5,939.

MDH also said Monday there have been 447,349 total cases of COVID-19 in Minnesota. That number is up 969 from the total announced on Sunday and is based on 21,438 new tests.

The most recent data available show 125 Minnesotans are hospitalized in intensive care with COVID-19, and 487 are in the hospital with COVID-19 not in intensive care.

Minnesota recorded another 34 COVID-19 deaths Wednesday and 1,237 new coronavirus infections were reported by the state Department of Health.

There have been 5,979 fatalities from COVID-19 recorded since March. There are another 68 deaths suspected to have been caused by the virus, but the person never had a positive coronavirus test.

Minnesota has diagnosed 449,492 infections since the pandemic started.

It took Minnesota less than a month to add 1,000 people to its COVID-19 death toll with more than 6,000 in the state now having succumbed to the coronavirus pandemic.

The 32 COVID-19 fatalities announced Thursday pushed the state’s total to 6,011 deaths since March 2020.

There’s another 68 fatalities suspected to have been caused by the coronavirus, but those people never had a positive test.

Health officials also reported 1,292 new cases Thursday pushing the state’s total number of infections to 450,762 since the pandemic began.

There are 558 patients hospitalized including 98 in critical condition.

MDH also said Friday there have been 452,268 total cases of COVID-19 in Minnesota. That number is up 1,506 from the total announced on Thursday and is based on 42,680 new tests.

The most recent data available show 98 Minnesotans are hospitalized in intensive care with COVID-19, and 460 are in the hospital with COVID-19 not in intensive care.

Minnesota added 16 more COVID-19 fatalities Thursday and 1,335 more coronavirus infections were reported by the state Department of Health.

The state death toll is now 6,140 with 68 more fatalities suspected to have been caused by COVID-19, but the person never had a positive coronavirus test.

Saturday, officials reported 1,087 new cases and 19 more deaths.

The latest figures from the Minnesota Department of Health show 460,819 total cases and 6,187 total deaths.

Since the pandemic began, 24,269 Minnesotans have been hospitalized, 5,034 in intensive care. As of Jan. 28, 355 Minnesotans were still hospitalized with COVID-19, 95 of them in the ICU.

The Minnesota Department of Health reported an increase of 633 cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday, which is the lowest daily case count in more than four months.

Minnesota has now seen 463,132 cases of COVID-19 since the pandemic began in March.

The state saw an additional eight deaths linked to COVID-19 Tuesday.

The state's death toll is now 6,210.

The death toll is now 6,234 since March

The 669 new cases were the result of more than 21,000 tests.

Hospitalizations also continue to decline with 379 needing care including 77 in critical condition.

As Minnesota continues to expand its COVID-19 vaccine rollout, state health officials reported Thursday 1,410 new cases of the virus and 17 more deaths.

The latest update from the Minnesota Department of Health shows the state’s cumulative case count stands at 465,176 while the death toll has reached 6,251.

In Minnesota hospitals, 369 people were battling the virus as of Wednesday, with 82 patients in intensive care beds.

The Minnesota Department of Health on Friday reported 22 new deaths from COVID-19 and 1,054 newly reported positive COVID-19 tests.

Of the 1,054 newly reported cases, 138 of them are noted as probable cases, according to MDH.

So far, 6,273 people have died from the coronavirus in Minnesota. Of those deaths, 259 are listed as probable COVID-19 deaths. Of the total deaths reported as of Friday, 3,960 were in long-term care facilities.

To date, 24,617 COVID-19 patients have been hospitalized in Minnesota and 5,092 patients have been in the ICU.

The death toll in Minnesota from COVID-19 is up to 6,299 with 10 additional deaths reported Sunday, according to the Minnesota Department of Health.

The Health Department reported another 914 confirmed coronavirus infections, taking Minnesota’s total cases to 468,118.

The actual number of infections likely is much higher since the data only represents those who have been tested for the virus, state officials say. The total number tested for the virus as of Sunday was 3,314,427.

A total of 24,745 patients with COVID-19 have been hospitalized in Minnesota, with 5,101 of those having had to be admitted into the ICU.

MDH recorded 564 cases of coronavirus in the past day, based on results from 18,567 tests (17,863 PCR, 704 antigen) processed in private and state labs.

Deaths dropped Monday, with three people losing their lives to the virus. That's the first time deaths have been in single digits in nearly a week. State fatalities now sit at 6,302 since the pandemic began.

The number of hospital beds being used statewide to treat COVID patients is holding fairly steady. As of Sunday, 330 beds were filled with coronavirus patients, 80 of them in the ICU. Bed occupancy remains tight in the Twin Cities metro, with just 144 non-ICU beds (3.9%) not in use.

Total hospitalizations have climbed to 24,780 since the start of the pandemic, with 5,105 patients requiring ICU care.

MDH also said Wednesday there have been 469,905 total cases of COVID-19 in Minnesota. The number of positives is up 651 from Tuesday’s count and is based on 20,217 new tests.

Twenty-four more COVID-19 deaths were reported Thursday in Minnesota, including 13 residents of long-term care facilities that have been prioritized for vaccine against the infectious disease.

Minnesota has recorded 6,343 COVID-19 deaths and 470,803 people who have tested positive for infections with the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus since the start of the pandemic. That includes 907 infections reported on Thursday.

Minnesota hospitals reported that 320 inpatient beds were filled with COVID-19 patients on Wednesday, down from 394 at the beginning of the month, and from 1,864 during the peak of the latest pandemic wave on Nov. 29.

The Minnesota Department of Health on Sunday reported 7 new deaths from COVID-19 and 779 newly reported positive COVID-19 tests.

Of the 779 newly reported cases, 137 of them are noted as probable cases, according to MDH. A total of 21,806 probable cases have been reported since antigen testing began in September.

So far, 6,376 people have died from the coronavirus in Minnesota. Of those deaths, 265 are listed as probable COVID-19 deaths.

To date, 25,156 COVID-19 patients have been hospitalized in Minnesota and 5,190 patients have been in the ICU.

According to MDH, the new positive COVID-19 cases in Minnesota reported on Sunday moved the state's total to 473,567 since pandemic record-keeping began.
