MDH recorded 456 positive coronavirus cases in the last day, the lowest number since 432 were documented on September 15. Those cases are based on results from just 9,333 tests (7,960 PCR, 1,373 antigen) processed in private and state labs, an extremely low volume.

Two people have died from the virus in the past day, bringing Minnesota fatalities to 6,380.

The number of Minnesotans hospitalized for COVID-19 since the pandemic began has climbed to 25,243, with 5,206 of those patients requiring ICU care.

Ten more Minnesotans have died from COVID-19 and 783 more coronavirus cases were reported Wednesday by the state Department of Health.

The deaths reported Wednesday brings the state’s toll to 6,390 fatalities since March 2020.

The 783 new cases were the result of more than 22,000 tests.

There have now been 475,379 coronavirus cases diagnosed in Minnesota.

There are 314 being treated for COVID-19 in Minnesota hospitals, including 54 in intensive care.

Thursday, the Minnesota Department of Health reported 14 new deaths from COVID-19 and 928 newly reported positive COVID-19 tests.

Of the 928 newly reported cases, 157 of them are noted as probable cases, according to MDH. A total of 22,207 probable cases have been reported since antigen testing began in September.

So far, 6,404 people have died from the coronavirus in Minnesota. Of those deaths, 269 are listed as probable COVID-19 deaths.

To date, 25,341 COVID-19 patients have been hospitalized in Minnesota and 5,230 patients have been in the ICU.

According to MDH, the new positive COVID-19 cases in Minnesota reported on Thursday moved the state's total to 478,292 since pandemic record-keeping began.

Minnesota added 1,001 more coronavirus infections to its total caseload Friday, the first time in a week the daily number of new cases has topped 1,000.

The state has diagnosed 477,287 infections since March 2020. More than 7.1 million samples from nearly 3.4 million Minnesotans have been screened for the coronavirus.

Another eight COVID-19 deaths were reported Friday, bringing the state’s death toll to 6,412.

Hospitalizations also remain low with 282 people hospitalized including 59 in critical condition.

There have been 25,368 who’ve needed to be hospitalized and 5,240 who’ve needed critical care.

Saturday, the Minnesota Department of Health reported 11 new deaths from COVID-19 and 884 newly reported positive COVID-19 tests.

Of the 884 newly reported cases, 166 of them are noted as probable cases, according to MDH. A total of 22,538 probable cases have been reported since antigen testing began in September.

So far, 6,423 people have died from the coronavirus in Minnesota. Of those deaths, 270 are listed as probable COVID-19 deaths.

To date, 25,426 COVID-19 patients have been hospitalized in Minnesota and 5,240 patients have been in the ICU.

According to MDH, the new positive COVID-19 cases in Minnesota reported on Saturday moved the state's total to 478,158 since pandemic record-keeping began.

The Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) reported 891 new COVID-19 cases Sunday, along with 9 new deaths.

MDH's COVID-19 case definition includes both antigen testing and polymerase chain reaction (PCR) testing. Positive PCR test results are considered confirmed cases, while positive antigen test results are considered probable cases.

Sunday's new case total includes 759 confirmed cases and 132 probable cases.

MDH says 9 new deaths from the virus were reported. That pushes the total number of fatalities in Minnesota to 6,432.

To date, 25,455 Minnesotans have been hospitalized with the coronavirus since the pandemic started, with 5,258 of them needing care in the ICU.

In terms of likely exposure to the coronavirus, MDH says 106, cas516es were the result of community transmission with no known contact with an infected person, and 98,437 had known contact with a person who has a confirmed case.

Minnesota recorded one more COVID-19 death and 561 more coronavirus cases, according to the state Department of Health.

The latest death was a Ramsey County long-term care resident in their 80s, which brings the death toll to 6,433 since the outbreak began in March 2020.

There have been 479,591 infections diagnosed by laboratory test.

There are 235 people hospitalized including 48 in critical condition.

With COVID-19 numbers continuing to trend downward and vaccinations rising, the Minnesota Department of Health has reported 513 more cases of the virus, and one more death. This makes two days in a row with only one COVID death reported by the state.

According to the Minnesota Department of Health, there have been 480,091 total cases confirmed in Minnesota since the start of the pandemic last March. The state’s death toll is now 6,434.

Almost 25,500 people have needed hospitalization for the virus since the pandemic began. As of Feb. 22, there are 54 patients with COVID-19 needing intensive care unit beds and an additional 215 patients needing non-ICU beds.

The Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) recorded 996 cases of the virus in the past 24-hour reporting period.

New case additions bring Minnesota's total to 481,831, with 23,178 of those cases identified by an antigen test.

Seven more Minnesotans have died from coronavirus, bringing fatalities to 6,450.

As of Wednesday 265 people are being treated in hospitals across the state, with 50 of them requiring care in the ICU.

Total hospitalizations have risen to 25,625 since the pandemic arrived in Minnesota, with 5,287 people requiring ICU care.

A total of 6,462 people have died from COVID-19 in Minnesota, the Department reported.

State health officials also reported in Friday's update that another 1,156 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in Minnesota.

A total of 482,987 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in Minnesota, including 37,628 health care workers, MDH said. Health officials said 23,328 of the state's cases were reported through positive antigen tests, rather than PCR tests, so they are considered "probable cases."

MDH also said a total of 25,683 people have been hospitalized with COVID-19 in the state to date. This includes 5,295 patients who have been hospitalized in the ICU.

Minnesota is reporting 826 new coronavirus cases and 13 more deaths linked to COVID-19, the state Health Department announced Saturday.

Since Minnesota started detecting virus infections in March, the state has reported 483,790 positive cases, 25,714 hospitalizations and 6,475 deaths.

The state's one-day count of 826 new cases came on a volume of 28,288 newly completed tests, meaning the share of tests coming back positive was again below the state's "caution" level of 5%.

A total of 6,486 people have died from COVID-19 in Minnesota, the Department reported.

State health officials also reported in Monday's update that another 636 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in Minnesota.

MDH also said a total of 25,727 people have been hospitalized with COVID-19 in the state to date. This includes 5,308 patients who have been hospitalized in the ICU.

MDH also said Tuesday there have been 485,655 total cases of COVID-19 in Minnesota. That number is up 443 from the total announced on Monday and is based on 10,915 new tests.

The most recent data available show 57 Minnesotans are hospitalized in intensive care with COVID-19, and 186 are in the hospital with COVID-19 not in intensive care.

Friday's COVID update from the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) includes 796 new cases and 13 new deaths.

The newly reported deaths brings the state's total to 6,534 over the course of the pandemic.

Through Mar. 4, the number of people with COVID-19 hospitalized in Minnesota was 224, down from 243 on Mar. 1.

Of those hospitalized, 57 are in intensive care (level from Mar. 1) and 167 are receiving non-ICU treatment (down from 186).

In total, the Minnesota Department of Health said 1,016,274 people in the state have received at least one dose -- about 18.3% of the population. Of that group, 543,696 have received both doses. Those totals are from MDH's latest available data, which is current as of Thursday.

As for other COVID-19 data, MDH reported 975 new COVID-19 cases Saturday, along with 12 new deaths.

Saturday's new case total includes 816 confirmed cases and 159 probable cases.

The total number of Minnesotans who have tested positive for the virus since the pandemic began is now 489,116, with 24,349 of those as antigen test results.

MDH says 12 new deaths from the virus were reported. That pushes the total number of fatalities in Minnesota to 6,546.

To date, 25,976 Minnesotans have been hospitalized with the coronavirus since the pandemic started, with 5,364 of them needing care in the ICU.

State health officials recorded 922 new coronavirus cases based on results from 20,704 tests (16,799 PCR, 3,905 antigen) processed in private and state labs. The new cases push Minnesota's total to 493,013 since the onset of the pandemic. Of those cases 25,282 were identified by antigen test.

On Tuesday MDH recorded 1,641 new cases along with 140 deaths, well above current averages, but explained that an audit by department epidemiologists of "unverified possible COVID-19 case reports" identified 891 cases and 138 deaths that were previously unreported by private labs in violation of a state rule.

Nine more deaths of Minnesotans were reported Wednesday, pushing fatalities to 6,705.

Hospitalizations across the state bumped up slightly with 243 people being treated for COVID on an in-patient basis as of Tuesday, with 64 requiring care in the ICU. Total hospitalizations now sit at 26,1423 since the virus arrived in Minnesota, with 5,394 patients admitted to the ICU.

There were 1,505 new cases and six new deaths to the disease reported statewide Thursday.

Since the start of the pandemic, the state has reported 501,458 total cases of COVID-19 and 6,762 deaths to the disease, according to Thursday's report. The state passed the 500,000 case milestone just over a year since the first Minnesotan tested positive for COVID-19.

Statewide, 26,520 COVID-19 patients have required hospitalization and 5,463 have required intensive care, according to Thursday's report.

Hospitalizations have increased this week. On Monday, the state reported 59 people in the ICU with COVID-19 and 201 in the hospital but not in the ICU.
