Hawaii health officials reported 200 new cases of COVID-19 statewide on Sunday, including 128 on Oahu, 30 in Maui County, 12 on the Big Island, nine on Kauai and 21 residents diagnosed out of state.

There are currently 129 people hospitalized in Hawaii with COVID-19, including 20 patients on ventilators.

The official state death toll from the virus is 309. Civil Beat calculates at least 315 people have died from the disease, including six deaths on Hawaii island confirmed by local county authorities that are still pending medical verification by the state.

Hawaii Department of Health did not provide further details regarding today’s 172 new coronavirus infections statewide but said social gatherings are possible sources.

According to the latest information from the department’s Hawaii COVID-19 data dashboard, a total of 126 patients with the virus were in Hawaii hospitals as of 8:30 a.m. today, with 25 in intensive care units and 21 on ventilators.

Hawaii health officials today reported 172 new coronavirus infections, bringing the state’s total since the start of the pandemic to 23,513 cases.

No new deaths were recorded today, leaving the statewide death toll at 309.

Of all the confirmed Hawaii infection cases, 1,560 have required hospitalizations, with two new hospitalizations reported today by state health officials.

Hawaii health officials today reported 114 new coronavirus infections, bringing the state’s total since the start of the pandemic to 23,627 cases.

No new deaths were recorded today, leaving the statewide death toll at 309.

Hawaii health officials said today that of the state’s total infection count, 2,305 cases were considered to be active.

Health officials counted 2,252 new COVID-19 test results in today’s tally, for a 2.6% statewide positivity rate.

Of all the confirmed Hawaii infection cases, 1,561 have required hospitalizations, with one new hospitalization reported today by state health officials.

Hawaii health officials today reported one new coronavirus-related death and 75 new infections, bringing the state’s totals since the start of the pandemic to 325 fatalities and 24,620 cases.

The state’s official coronavirus-related death toll includes 255 fatalities on Oahu, 45 on Hawaii island, 21 on Maui, one on Kauai, and three Hawaii residents who died on the mainland. The Hawaii County Civil Defense Agency said today that the Big Island’s COVID-19 death toll remained at 51, but state officials have not verified coronavirus as a factor in six of those fatalities.

The total number of coronavirus cases by island since the start of the outbreak are 20,067 on Oahu, 2,092 in Hawaii County, 1,501 on Maui, 176 on Kauai, 106 on Lanai and 25 on Molokai. There are also 653 Hawaii residents diagnosed outside of the state.

Hawaii Department of Health said in an email this afternoon the four new coronavirus-related deaths reported today were all Oahu residents who had underlying health conditions when they were hospitalized with COVID-19.

According to the latest information from the department’s Hawaii COVID-19 Data dashboard, a total of 96 patients with the virus were in Hawaii hospitals as of this morning, with 21 in intensive care units and 18 on ventilators.

There were 123 new COVID-19 cases reported in Hawai‘i on Monday, including 91 on O‘ahu, 21 on Maui, six on Hawaiʻi Island, and five in Hawaiʻi residents diagnosed outside of the state.

Hawai‘i’s COVID-19 deaths remained unchanged at 342 with no new deaths reported today.

To date, there have been 342 COVID-19 related deaths in Hawaiʻi including: 271 on Oʻahu, 21 in Maui County, 46 on Hawaiʻi Island, one on Kauaʻi and three deaths in residents diagnosed while out-of-state including one of an elderly Kaua‘i resident who died out of state, in Arizona, and another involving a male between the ages of 60-69 years old with underlying medical conditions who had been incarcerated out of state and died at a hospital.

60 previously unreported COVID-19 related deaths have been recently identified by the Hawai‘i Department of Health (DOH).

After a review of the DOH Electronic Death Registration System (EDRS), the deaths were found to be linked to COVID-19. The deaths were found to happen between August and December, 2020. 51 were reported on O‘ahu, six on Hawai‘i, and three on Maui.

The deaths reported Wednesday included two on Oahu and one on Maui.

This week, 60 COVID-19 related deaths dating back to August were added to the state’s death toll after officials conducted another analysis of death records.

Hawaii Island reported seven new cases of COVID-19 on Thursday, bringing the island’s total case tally to 2,139.

The new Hawaii Island cases were among 100 new cases reported across the state by the Department of Health.

Statewide, to date, there have been 25,541 people who have tested positive for COVID-19.

Statewide, 80 people were hospitalized Thursday, including two on Hawaii Island. To date, 2,057 people have required hospitalization, including 112 on Hawaii Island.

Two new coronavirus-related deaths were reported Thursday by the state; both on Oahu. Of the 406 coronavirus-related deaths confirmed and reported by the state to date, 324 were on Oahu, 25 were on Maui, 53 were on Hawaii Island and one on Kauai. Three deaths were among residents outside the state.

There were 107 new COVID-19 cases reported in Hawai‘i on Thursday, including 79 on O‘ahu, 16 on Maui, seven on Hawaiʻi Island, and five in Hawaiʻi residents diagnosed outside of the state.

Hawai‘i’s COVID-19 deaths increased to 416 with two additional deaths today. on O‘ahu.

There are 12 individuals hospitalized in Maui County with COVID-19, according to counts last updated on Feb. 4, 2021, from the Hawaiʻi Emergency Management Agency.

There are 13 ICU beds being used in Maui County at this time (out of 31 currently available). Three ICU beds are now being used by COVID-19 patients. Seven ventilators (out of 38 available) are being used in Maui County, one by a COVID-19 patient.

The new cases today bring the cumulative total of cases to 26,187 statewide, reported since Feb. 28, 2020.
