Hawaii Department of Health officials today reported one new coronavirus-related death on Oahu and 48 new infections, bringing the state’s totals since the start of the pandemic to 426 fatalities and 26,856 cases.

The state’s official coronavirus-related death toll includes 340 fatalities on Oahu, 53 on Hawaii island, 29 on Maui, one on Kauai, and three Hawaii residents who died outside the state.

By island, Oahu has 681 active cases, Maui has 211, the Big Island has 52, Kauai has 179, Lanai has 108, and Molokai has 26, according to the state’s latest tally.

Health officials counted 5,314 new COVID-19 test results in today’s tally, for a .8% statewide positivity rate. The state’s 7-day average positivity rate is .9%, according to the Hawaii COVID-19 Data dashboard.

Of all the confirmed Hawaii infection cases, 1,796 have required hospitalizations, with four new hospitalizations — three on Oahu and on on Maui — reported today by state health officials.

Four hospitalizations in the statewide count are Hawaii residents who were diagnosed and treated outside the state. Of the 1,796 hospitalizations within the state, 1,567 have been on Oahu, 112 on Maui, 100 on the Big Island, seven on Kauai, five on Lanai and one on Molokai.

According to the latest information from the department’s Hawaii COVID-19 Data dashboard, a total of 45 patients with the virus were in Hawaii hospitals as of Friday morning, with 13 in intensive care units and 10 on ventilators.

Hawaii health officials reported 35 new COVID-19 infections statewide on Monday, including 25 on Oahu, seven on Maui, one on Molokai and two residents diagnosed out of state.

There are currently 45 people hospitalized with COVID-19 in Hawaii, including 12 people on ventilators — down from a high of 50 people who needed ventilators on Sept. 21.

Hawaii health officials reported 29 new COVID-19 infections statewide on Wednesday and the death of one person on Oahu.

State health officials reported only 17 cases on Tuesday — the lowest number of daily cases since the end of July — but said later in the day the number was an undercount because of a laboratory reporting error.

There are currently 38 people hospitalized with COVID-19 in Hawaii, including 14 in intensive care and nine people on ventilators

The state’s official coronavirus-related death toll includes 342 fatalities on Oahu, 53 on Hawaii island, 29 on Maui, one on Kauai, and three Hawaii residents who died outside the state.

Health officials said the state had only 17 new virus infections on Tuesday and 29 on Wednesday, but noted that the low numbers were due to a problem with the “electronic laboratory reporting.”

The total number of coronavirus cases by island since the start of the outbreak are 21,695 on Oahu, 2,224 in Hawaii County, 1,966 on Maui, 180 on Kauai, 108 on Lanai and 27 on Molokai. There are also 800 Hawaii residents who were diagnosed outside of the state

The Hawaii Department of Health reported 50 new COVID-19 cases on Feb. 19. There are 23 new coronavirus cases on Oahu, 21 on Maui, two on the Big Island and four out of state. That brings the state total to 27,048.

DOH also reported two new coronavirus-related deaths for the state on Friday. The state death toll now stands at 430.

The state reported two additional COVID fatalities on Friday, pushing the death toll from the virus in the islands to 443.

Both of the new deaths were on Oahu.

Meanwhile, there were 54 new coronavirus cases reported.

Of the new cases, 29 were on Oahu, 18 on Maui, and four were on the Big Island. There were also three cases of residents diagnosed out-of-state.

There have been 639 new cases in the islands in the last 14 days. Since the pandemic began, Hawaii has reported 27,753 cases of COVID-19.

Hawaii Department of Health officials today reported one new coronavirus-related death and 66 coronavirus infections, bringing the state’s totals since the start of the pandemic to 449 fatalities and 28,145 cases.

The state’s official coronavirus-related death toll includes 357 fatalities on Oahu, 53 on Hawaii island, 35 on Maui, one on Kauai, and three Hawaii residents who died outside the state.

The total number of coronavirus cases by island since the start of the outbreak are 22,230 on Oahu, 2,403 on Maui, 2,317 in Hawaii County, 186 on Kauai, 108 on Lanai and 28 on Molokai. There are also 873 Hawaii residents who were diagnosed outside of the state.

Health officials also said today that of the state’s total infection count, 689 cases were considered to be active.

Of all the confirmed Hawaii infection cases, 1,922 have required hospitalizations, with eight new hospitalizations reported today by state health officials.

The Hawaii Department of Health reports 64 new coronavirus cases and one new death on Saturday, March 13, 2021.

There are 33 new coronavirus cases on Oahu, seven on the Big Island, 22 on Maui and one resident diagnosed out of state.

The DOH reports one case on Oahu was removed from the counts.

That brings state total to 28,208.

The state death toll rises to 450.

Statewide, a total of 46 new cases were reported Monday by the Department of Health. Oahu reported 34 of those cases, Maui County 22 and Kauai none. One resident was diagnosed while outside the state.

Statewide, to date, there have been 28,305 people who have tested positive for COVID-19. The Big Island on Monday had a 1.1% test positivity rate, just over the statewide rate of 1%.

Statewide, 31 people were hospitalized Monday, two of whom were receiving care on the Big Island. To date, 2,243 people have required hospitalization, including 117 on the Big Island.

No new coronavirus-related deaths were reported on Monday by the state. Of the 451 coronavirus-related deaths confirmed and reported by the state to date, 359 were on Oahu, 35 were on Maui, 53 were on the Big Island and one on Kauai. Three deaths were among residents outside the state.

No deaths have been reported on the Big Island this year.

State health officials reported no new coronavirus-related deaths as the statewide death toll remains at 451.

The state’s official coronavirus-related death toll includes 359 fatalities on Oahu, 53 on Hawaii island, 35 on Maui, one on Kauai, and three Hawaii residents who died outside the state.

Today’s new statewide infection cases include 30 on Oahu, seven on Maui, eight on Hawaii island, one on Kauai and two Hawaii residents diagnosed outside the state, according to health officials.

The total number of coronavirus cases by island since the start of the outbreak are 22,342 on Oahu, 2,465 on Maui, 2,343 in Hawaii County, 187 on Kauai, 108 on Lanai and 28 on Molokai. There are also 879 Hawaii residents who were diagnosed outside of the state.

The state Department of Health reports that there were 69 additional COVID-19 cases reported in Hawai‘i on Wednesday, including 38 on O‘ahu, 23 on Maui, one on Lānaʻi, four on Hawai‘i Island, and three in Hawai‘i residents diagnosed out of state.

Hawai‘i’s COVID-19 deaths remained unchanged at 451 with no new deaths reported today.
