The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services announced 2,131 more COVID-19 cases have been reported in the state since Monday’s update. These cases take the state's total to 427,117 total confirmed cases since the start of the pandemic.

There were 204 more deaths reported, taking the state’s death toll due to the coronavirus to 6,155. A large number of the new reported deaths can be attributed to further analysis of death certificates, the MDHSS said.

The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services added 1,350 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours. The total number of cases in Missouri now stands at 437,549.

The state also reported one new death in the last 24 hours. This brings the total number of COVID-19 related deaths to 6,254 since the pandemic began.

The state also reports hospitalizations and hospital bed capacity, but it is on a three-day delay. There are 2,522 total hospitalizations in the state with 30% remaining total hospital bed capacity.

The state announced 198 new virus deaths on Wednesday, not too far off Jan. 12's number of 204.

As of Wednesday, at least 6,461 COVID-19 patients died in Missouri with a total of 441,789 people infected.

Missouri reported 884 new cases of COVID-19 on Friday, bringing the seven-day average to 809, the lowest level since mid-July, according to a Post-Dispatch analysis.

Illinois reported 2,598 new cases of COVID-19 on Friday, down from 2,838 the day before.

In Missouri, the state's health department reported 473,459 cases and 7,695 deaths, a single-day increase of 718 cases and 225 deaths.

Of the 225 new deaths reported Thursday, 218 of them were discovered in an audit of death certificate data.

The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services announced the state’s total of confirmed COVID-19 cases reached 478,224 on Saturday, which is an increase of 752 cases.

The state said there have now been 7,919 (-1) deaths since the start of the outbreak. The removal of one death from the listing was not explained by MDHSS.

The state said it has tested a total of 4,482,293 and 61,015 were tested in the past seven days. There have been 2,716 positive cases and an average of 388 cases a day in the last week.

The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services reported 291 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday. There have been 480,643 cases of the virus in the state.

The department did not report any new deaths related to the virus. The death toll remained at 8,161.

Hospitalizations fell below 1,000 on Sunday. There were 955 people hospitalized with the virus, and of those, 197 were in the intensive care unit.
