Statewide, 1,834 people were hospitalized with confirmed cases of COVID-19 on Monday, and 106 others were receiving hospital care for COVID-like symptoms but had test results pending.

About 79% of intensive-care beds and 81% of beds for general medical care were in use Monday, which was about the same as a week earlier.

Since March, 232,905 people have tested positive for the virus and 13,488 have been hospitalized. As of Monday, 2,656 died of the virus and 381 others have died with it.

Across the state, the number of patients hospitalized with confirmed cases of the virus decreased by 21 on Tuesday to 1,445.

A quarter of all hospitals and facilities in the state anticipate a staff shortage in the next week and 9% of facilities anticipate ICU bed shortages.

The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment reported 132 new deaths due to COVID-19.

On Sunday, the Wyoming Department of Health reported 277 new confirmed cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of cases in the state to 38,440.

1,066 cases are considered active in the state, an increase of 255 from Saturday.

No new deaths were reported on Sunday, leaving the states death toll at 438.

Colorado’s health department recorded 2,863 new cases of COVID-19 on Friday, and a 7-day test positivity rate of 7.99%. That is above the recommended threshold of 5%.

There were 833 people hospitalized statewide Friday with confirmed COVID-19, which is still around what the state saw during the April surge.

Earlier in the week, Colorado surpassed 5,000 COVID-related deaths. Most of those fatalities are directly due to the novel coronavirus, according to the state health department.
