Wyoming Department of Health (WDH) report that a record 109 COVID-19 patients were hospitalized across the state as of Thursday, Oct. 29. Wyoming saw more than 100 patients hospitalized due to COVID for the first time on Sunday.

Wyoming continues to see COVID-19 spread faster than any other state in the country, based on the “effective reproduction rate” of the virus. Wyoming’s effective reproduction rate has increased to 1.34, up from 1.29 on Tuesday, according to rt.live who track how fast COVID-19 is spreading in each state.

Wyoming has seen 2,298 new confirmed and probable cases of COVID-19 in the past week, according to Johns Hopkins University.

The positive test rate has spiked to 55.21% with 4,162 tests completed in the past week, according to Johns Hopkins. That is a jump from the 30.52% positivity rate reported Tuesday.

The number of total confirmed and probable cases in Wyoming through Thursday stands at 12,146, according to Johns Hopkins, which matches the total reported by the Wyoming Department of Health.

16 new COVID-19 related deaths have been reported in the past week. Wyoming has seen 77 total COVID-19 related deaths during the pandemic.

COVID hospitalizations have sharply increased throughout the month of October. There were 27 COVID patients in Wyoming hospitals as of Oct. 1, according to the WDH.

As of Thursday, 56 of 122 available adult intensive care unit beds across the state were occupied by COVID or other patients, according to the WDH data.

The total number of coronavirus cases in Wyoming grew by 361 on Thursday, with the number of confirmed cases rising by 301 and the number of probable cases rising by 60, according to the Wyoming Department of Health’s daily update.

One hundred thirty-one new coronavirus recoveries were also announced: 119 confirmed and 12 probable.

There are more than 4,000 active total cases in Wyoming for the first time (including probable cases). Thursday was the 17th consecutive day the state set a new record for active confirmed cases and the 16th consecutive day it set a new record for its 10-day average in new confirmed cases.

The number of new confirmed coronavirus cases reported Friday set a record for a single day in the state, reaching 431 to push the number of active cases to almost 4,500.

The number of new cases, along with an increase of 90 in probable cases, offset the 219 recoveries reported Friday to leave the state with 4,486 active cases, an increase of 301 from Thursday.

The increase means that the state has seen 11,020 confirmed cases of coronavirus since the illness was first detected in Wyoming in mid-March. The number of probable cases, meanwhile, increased by 90 to total 2,008 since the beginning of the pandemic.

“This is the time to recognize that our actions impact others, their lives and livelihoods. All of us have a role to play in ensuring that our hospitals can continue to care for all patients, not just those suffering from COVID-19.”

On Saturday, 256 new coronavirus cases were confirmed in the Wyoming Department of Health’s daily update. The department announced 14 new probable cases.

There are now 11,276 confirmed cases, 2,022 probable cases

Eighty-seven Wyomingites have died after contracting COVID-19.

Gov. Mark Gordon has said he is not considering a statewide face mask requirement, he has urged the state’s residents to wear them.

Wyoming has now seen a total of 11,638 lab confirmed cases since the start of the pandemic.

Wyoming saw a record 431 new lab confirmed COVID-19 cases Friday.

A record 120 COVID-19 patients were in hospitals across the state on Friday, according to the WDH.

14 new probable cases reported Sunday brought the state total to 2,022.

Wyoming Department of Health (WDH) report that a record 138 COVID-19 patients were hospitalized across the state as of Wednesday, Nov. 4.

COVID-19 hospitalizations decreased to 124 in Wyoming hospitals on Tuesday, down from the previous record of 132 patients on Monday.

61 of an avaible 127 ICU beds across the state were occupied by COVID-19 or other patients on Wednesday. 57 of an available 128 ICU beds were occupied on Tuesday.

The number of ventilators in use has remained relatively flat. Ventilators are sometimes used to treat COVID-19 patients. 22 of an available 185 ventilators across the state were in use on Wednesday.

The Wyoming Department of Health reported 279 new laboratory confirmed cases of COVID-19 during their 3 pm Thursday, Nov. 5 update.

Wyoming has now seen a total of 12,954 lab confirmed cases since the start of the pandemic. 86 new probable cases reported Thursday brought the state total to 2,455.

A total of 4,679 confirmed and probable case in Wyoming remain active.

The WDH report that 134 COVID-19 patients were hospitalized across the state on Thursday. A record 138 COVID-19 patients were hospitalized across the state on Wednesday. Wyoming saw a record 431 new lab confirmed COVID-19 cases Friday.

The WDH reported 12 additional COVID-19 related deaths among the state’s residents on Wednesday, bringing the total since the start of the pandemic to 105.

On Sunday, 646 new coronavirus cases were confirmed in the Wyoming Department of Health’s daily update. The department announced 67 new probable cases.

It’s the second highest single-day increase in Wyoming, following the 996 total cases added Friday.

There are now 14,691 confirmed cases, 2,619 probable cases, 8,813 confirmed recoveries and 1,502 probable recoveries in Wyoming.

One hundred fourteen Wyomingites have died after contracting COVID-19.

The Wyoming Department of Health reported a record 1,131 new laboratory confirmed cases of COVID-19 during their daily update at 3 pm Tuesday, Nov. 10.

That is is the highest number of confirmed cases reported in a single day since the start of the pandemic. Wyoming has now seen a total of 16,442 lab confirmed cases since the pandemic began. 101 new probable cases reported Tuesday brought the state total to 2,800.

The state has been adding an average of 427.7 new confirmed cases each day for the last seven days. About 27% of the state’s population would have contracted the virus in the span of a year if Wyoming were to add that number of cases each day for 365 days.

The WDH also reported 13 additional COVID-19 related deaths on Tuesday. 127 Wyoming residents who had COVID-19 have died during the pandemic. 38 of those deaths have been reported since Oct. 29.

New COVID-19 cases have been piling up in recent weeks as the virus surges in Wyoming. 917 new laboratory confirmed cases were reported on Friday, Nov. 6. Over 600 confirmed cases were also reported on two days since Friday.

The WDH also report a record 178 COVID-19 patients hospitalized across the state on Tuesday. COVID hospitalizations sharply increased throughout the month of October and into November. There were 27 COVID patients in Wyoming hospitals as of Oct. 1, according to the WDH. Wyoming saw more than 100 patients hospitalized due to COVID for the first time on Oct. 25.

Only 76 new lab confirmed cases in the state were reported Wednesday. Natrona County alone saw over three times that number reported on Tuesday.

The additional 76 confirmed cases brings the state’s total since the start of the pandemic to 16,518. The WDH also reported an additional 56 probable cases on Wednesday, bringing the total to 2,856.

A total of 6,885 cases remain active in Wyoming, according to the WDH.

The 76 confirmed cases reported Wednesday dropped the seven day average to 307.2 cases per day over the past seven days.

Thursday’s 924 new confirmed cases bring the state total to 17,442 since the start of the pandemic. 181 probable cases were reported Thursday, bringing the total to 3,037.

7,493 cases in Wyoming remain active.

The WDH reported 13 additional COVID-19 related deaths on Tuesday. 127 Wyoming residents who had COVID-19 have died during the pandemic. 38 of those deaths have been reported since Oct. 29.

That brings the total to 21,750 since the start of the pandemic. 119 probable cases were also reported on Wednesday, bringing the total to 3,525.

Over half of the confirmed cases in Wyoming have been reported since Oct. 27.

The WDH reported 11 additional COVID-19 related deaths on Tuesday, bringing the total to 155. No additional COVID-19 related deaths were reported Wednesday.

The WDH reported a record 210 COVID-19 patients hospitalized across Wyoming on Wednesday. COVID hospitalizations crossed the 200 mark for the first time on Saturday.

The Wyoming Department of Health reported a record 235 COVID-19 patients in Wyoming hospitals on Sunday, Nov. 22. There were 232 COVID patients hospitalized on Monday.

Since Sept. 13, the WDH have reported 126 COVID-19 related deaths among the state’s residents. That equals about 72% of the overall 176 COVID-19 related deaths reported in Wyoming since the start of the pandemic.

Wyoming has seen a total of 24,309 confirmed cases of COVID-19 since the pandemic began. 20,630 of those cases have been reported since Sept. 13, amounting to about 85% of all cases.

There were 13 COVID-19 patients reported in Wyoming hospitals on Sept. 13. Monday’s 232 COVID patients is a 168% increase in the number of hospitalizations since Sept. 13.

While the surge is putting a strain on ICU capacity and the number of healthcare workers available at some hospitals, the WDH reported 20 of an available 220 ventilators available in Wyoming were in use on Monday.

The Wyoming Health Department Reported 702 new cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, bringing the statewide total to 26,677. 114 new cases were reported for Natrona County.

13 new deaths have been confirmed by the Health Department, leaving the total number of Wyoming deaths at 215. Of these deaths, 46 have occurred in Natrona County.

Currently, there are 226 COVID-related hospitalizations in Wyoming, 75 of which are housed at the Wyoming Medical Center in Natrona County.

The Wyoming Department of Health on Saturday, Nov. 28 is reporting that there have been 27,738 coronavirus cases in Wyoming since the start of the pandemic. That’s an increase of 1,060 since Wednesday’s report. 88.2% of those cases have been reported since September 1.

A record 1,251 new confirmed cases were reported Monday, Nov 23.

4,191 probable cases have been reported in Wyoming as of Saturday by the Wyoming Department of Health (WDH), an increase of 107 since Wednesday.

The WDH reported 13 additional COVID-19 related deaths on Wednesday, bringing the total to 215 since the pandemic began.

The Wyoming Department of Health reported that 225 patients with COVID-19 were hospitalized across Wyoming as of Thanksgiving Day Thursday. There were 13 COVID-19 patients reported in Wyoming hospitals on Sept. 13.

The Wyoming Department of Health (WDH) reported 311 new lab confirmed cases of COVID-19 during their Sunday morning update Dec. 6.

There have now been 31,561 total confirmed coronavirus cases in Wyoming since the start of the pandemic. More than 84% of those have been reported since October 1, when there had been 5,170 total confirmed cases.

65 additional probable cases were reported on Sunday, bringing the total to 4,756.

There have been 257 COVID-19 related deaths among Wyoming residents since the start of the pandemic, including 27 reported last Thursday.

As of Friday, 222 patients were hospitalized statewide with COVID-19.
