Florida’s resident death toll from coronavirus rose to 30,213 with the addition of 148 more reported fatalities on Tuesday while also adding 5,610 more positive COVID-19 cases to bring the total to 1,878,533.
February has reported 3,734 resident fatalities in February, an average of 162 a day. With 536 non-Florida resident deaths, including 6 new reported Tuesday, the state’s combined total stands at 30,749.
Across the state, 4,186 people were hospitalized with COVID-19 as of 2 p.m. Tuesday, including 200 in Orange County, 98 in Osceola, 74 in Lake and 68 in Seminole.
As of Monday 55,403 people were currently hospitalized with COVID-19, according to COVID-19 Tracking Project, which updates its data once a day.
To date, 79,410 people have been hospitalized in Florida, according to the state’s report, which includes 314 newly reported hospitalizations since Monday’s update.
