That brings the total cases in the state to 75,804 and increases the death toll to 1,531.

In Clark County, health officials reported 283 new cases, bringing the total to 64,160. Two additional deaths raised the toll to 1,329.

Nevada’s statewide daily positivity rate for COVID-19 is on an upward trend

New daily cases have grown from the mid-50s last week to nearly 88 this week.

“That’s a week-over-week increase of about 50% of new cases per day we are seeing in Washoe County,” Dick told reporters.

COVID-19 cases in Nevada spiked to their greatest one day increase since Aug. 28, according to data released on Friday by the Nevada Department of Health and Human Services.

The state reported 556 new cases and nine deaths.

The Regional Information Center reported 162 new cases on Friday, the third-highest one day increase in cases since tracking began.

State data showed 602 additional cases of the coronavirus on Saturday, the highest number of new cases reported in Nevada in the past month.

Nine more deaths also were reported, according to data posted to the Department of Health and Human Services’ coronavirus website. The figures brought totals in the state to 78,355 cases and 1,582 fatalities.

Saturday showed the largest increase in cases since Aug. 29, when 609 new cases were reported.

The state reported 373 new COVID-19 cases and three coronavirus-related deaths on Sunday, according to the Nevada Department of Health and Human Services.

There have been 78,728 coronavirus cases reported since tracking efforts were put in place. A majority of the cases have been concentrated in Clark County. Washoe County holds the second-highest concentration of cases.

Nevada's death toll has reached 1,585.

State officials reported 392 new cases of the coronavirus and three additional deaths in Nevada as of Sunday morning.

That brings the total number of confirmed cases to 82,100 and the death toll to 1,623, according to the Department of Health and Human Services’ coronavirus website.

479 new COVID-19 cases in Nevada and 347 in Clark County. There is now a total of 82,916 confirmed COVID-19 cases statewide.

Nevada is reporting six new COVID-19-related deaths, five from Clark County in the past 24 hours. Of Nevada’s 1,629 deaths, 1,414 are from Clark County.

data released today shows a large jump in hospitalized patients, with 44 additional cases reported.

According to the state’s Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), the number of hospitalized patients in Nevada was up on Monday, according to data released Tuesday.

Nevada on Wednesday reported 431 new cases of the coronavirus, along with seven additional deaths.

The updated figures posted to the Department of Health and Human Services’ coronavirus website brought totals in the state to 83,347 cases and 1,636 deaths.

The infection rate, calculated by the Review-Journal as the number of cases divided by the number of people tested, reached 11.59 percent on Wednesday.

Data released Sunday notes 380 new COVID-19 cases in Nevada and 308 in Clark County. There is now a total of 85,779 confirmed COVID-19 cases statewide.

Hospitalized patients were up 17 on Friday.

According to the state’s Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), the number of hospitalized patients in Nevada was up on Friday, according to data released Saturday.

There were 133 patients in intensive care units (ICU) across the state Friday, up six from the previous day.

The DHHS report showed 64 patients on ventilators, up 1 from the previous day.

DHHS is reporting 2 new COVID-19-related deaths statewide in the past 24 hours.

Over the past few weeks, the state has seen an uptick in the number of COVID-19-related deaths.

The increase in fatalities marked the highest spike since Sept. 4, when 18 deaths were reported in Nevada, according to state data.

The state’s positivity rate, which is calculated by the Review-Journal as the total cases divided by the number of people who have been tested since the start of the pandemic, reached 12.19 percent on Tuesday.

The rate has been slowly increasing since mid-September, when daily case reports also started rising.

There were 1,075 new cases reported Thursday, along with three additional deaths, according to the state health department’s coronavirus website. On Saturday, 1,146 new cases were reported in the state.

Before that, the last time more than 1,000 new cases were reported was more than two months ago, on Aug. 14, according to state data.

Thursday’s updated figures brought totals in the state to 98,554 cases and 1,769 deaths.
