Nevada recorded 2,698 new COVID-19 cases and 22 deaths over the preceding day, state officials reported Tuesday.

The new figures reported by the state Department of Health and Human Services brought the cumulative total of cases in the state to 154,867 and the death toll to 2,166.

The number of deaths has increased throughout November, with 367 fatalities reported last month.

Nevada reported 48 new deaths from the coronavirus on Thursday, marking the deadliest day since the onset of the pandemic as the state's COVID-19 surge shows few signs of slowing and death totals peak throughout the U.S.

The state also reported 2,536 new confirmed virus cases, bringing the statewide totals to 159,532 cases and 2,249 deaths since the start of the pandemic.

On Wednesday, the Nevada Hospital Association reported 81% of staffed beds were full, with 1,652 taken up by patients confirmed or suspected to have COVID-19.

Nevada reports record hospitalizations — 1,678 people — and 2,902 new cases, the third-highest mark since the COVID-19 pandemic began.

The Nevada Hospital Association reports that 84 percent of licensed hospital beds in the state are full.

The state reported 23 deaths in the past 24 hours, a day after hitting a record 48 deaths.

Nevada has now reported a total of 162,434 cases as of Thursday. Clark County reported 1,828 positive tests on Thursday, and a total of 121,863 positive tests.

Clark County also reported it’s 20th case of multisystem inflammatory syndrome in children (MIS-C).

The Nevada Hospital Association reports that 84 percent of licensed hospital beds in the state are full.

Nevada has now reported a total of 165,628 cases as of Friday. Clark County reported 2,375 positive tests on Friday, bringing the total to 126,066 positive tests.

More than 1,000 coronavirus cases have been reported in Nevada in 31 of the past 32 days.

The state reported 29 deaths in the past 24 hours, two days after hitting a record 48 deaths.

The number of hospitalizations increased by 111 on Friday, bringing the current total to 1,789.

Statewide hospital occupancy rates: 84%

ICU units occupancy rate: 69%

Ventilators in use: 39%

Health officials in Nevada on Sunday reported 2,511 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 with 14 additional deaths and a record high two-week positivity rate.

The latest numbers pushed the state's totals to 168,139 cases since the pandemic began with 2,315 known deaths.

Nevada Department of Health and Human Services officials said the state's positivity rate calculated over a two-week period now is 21%.

On Saturday, Nevada reported a record 3,194 cases with 29 deaths. It was only the second time the state had more than 3,000 additional cases on a single day. The previous time was 3,159 cases on Nov. 25.

After reporting a record 3,194 cases on Friday, Nevada reported an additional 2,448 positive COVID-19 tests. The state’s hospitalizations also marked a record Friday, with 1,789 patients reported.

The Nevada Hospital Association reports that 82 percent of licensed hospital beds in the state are full.

The number of people hospitalized in Nevada with COVID-19 has more than doubled over the last month. The Nevada Hospital Association reported Monday that hospitalized coronavirus patients increased more than 230% from Nov. 6 to Dec. 6 as the state continues experiencing a surge of coronavirus cases.

Nevada has now reported a total of 170,587 cases. Clark County reported 1,608 positive tests on Sunday, bringing the county’s total to 129,427 positive tests.

More than 1,000 coronavirus cases have been reported in Nevada in 33 of the past 34 days.

Nevada reported four COVID-19-related deaths in the last day, none of which were from Clark County.

The number of hospitalizations decreased by 72 on Saturday and then increased by 50 on Sunday, bringing the current total to 1,767 — the second highest number of hospitalized patients the state has recorded since the pandemic began.

There were 379 patients in intensive care units (ICU) across the state Sunday, up 17 from the previous day.

The DHHS report showed 227 patients on ventilators, up three from the previous day.

Nevada reported 40 COVID-19-related deaths in the last day — 31 from Clark County — as the state continues experiencing a surge of coronavirus cases. Just last week, the state reported a record 48 deaths.

The number of people hospitalized in Nevada with COVID-19 has more than doubled over the last month, according to the Nevada Hospital Association. The state recorded its second highest number of hospitalized patients on Monday, reporting 1,784 confirmed/suspected cases

Nevada has now reported a total of 173,281 cases.

More than 1,000 coronavirus cases have been reported in Nevada in 34 of the past 35 days.

The number of hospitalizations increased by 17 on Monday, bringing the current total to 1,784 — the second highest number of hospitalized patients the state has recorded since the pandemic began.

In the same report, the NHA says in the last month, hospitalized patients with COVID-19 have increased more than 230 percent (from 692 to 1,617) and the need for mechanical ventilation has increased in excess of 250 percent with cases rising from 89 to 227 during this timeframe.

There were 385 patients in intensive care units (ICU) across the state Monday, up six from the previous day.

The DHHS report showed 235 patients on ventilators, up eight from the previous day.

Nevada posted a record 1,811 hospitalizations and its third-highest daily total of new COVID-19 cases. Test positivity continued to climb, hitting a record 22.3 percent.

The number of people hospitalized in Nevada with COVID-19 has more than doubled over the last month, according to the Nevada Hospital Association. And while hospitalizations are slowing in Northern Nevada, they are climbing in Southern Nevada.

The state reported 25 deaths — 17 from Clark County.

Nevada reports an additional 3,063 positive COVID-19 tests.

Nevada has now reported a total of 176,344 cases. Clark County reported 2,132 positive tests on Tuesday, bringing the county’s total to 133,642.

On Thursday, Nevada reported an additional 2,183 new coronavirus cases and a record 50 COVID-related deaths, along with a record 1,824 hospitalized patients.

State health officials estimate there are nearly 28,000 active cases of COVID-19 in Nevada, which is more than double the number during the summer peak, said Kyra Morgan, Nevada’s chief biostatistician.

According to a weekly report from the White House Coronavirus Task Force and obtained by the Center for Public Integrity, Nevada is listed as No. 2 for COVID positivity. Idaho has the highest rate, according to the report.

Nevada reported its third-highest number of deaths — 45 — and the 14-day rolling average has now reached 18 deaths per day.

Nevada reports more than 2,800 additional COVID-19 cases as its test positivity slightly declines, according to data released Sunday.

Nevada reported 19 new COVID-19-related deaths — and the 14-day rolling average has now reached 19 deaths per day.

More than 1,000 coronavirus cases have been reported in Nevada in 39 of the past 40 days.

There is now a total of 1,999 deaths, 141,231 confirmed cases and 9,134 hospitalizations, according to the Southern Nevada Health District dashboard that updates daily.

Nevada on Tuesday reported 2,320 new coronavirus cases and 48 additional deaths — the second-highest daily death toll of the pandemic, according to state data.

The updated figures brought the state totals to 191,732 cases and 2,596 deaths.

Nevada’s hospitalizations dropped slightly in Tuesday’s report, with the number of patients declining by three to 6,845. The number of suspected or confirmed COVID-19 patients registered a bigger drop of 46, falling from the record high of 2,025 reported Monday to 1,979 patients, according to the state data.

Nevada on Saturday reported 2,601 additional known COVID-19 cases, putting the number of known infections since the pandemic began in the state over the 200,000 mark.

The state also reported 43 additional deaths due to COVID-19 as the state’s totals reached 201,858 cases and 2,751 deaths.

Nevada hospitalizations for COVID-19 dropped Friday for the third consecutive day, but the state had a record 434 patients in intensive care.

Those figures, reported by the state Department of Health and Human Services, brought statewide totals to 205,884 cases and 2,787 deaths since the outbreak began in early March.

The number of hospitalizations of confirmed or suspected COVID-19 patients rose to 1,996, according to the state data. That was a gain of 79 from the 1,917 COVID-19 patients reported on Sunday.

Health officials on Tuesday are reporting 1,090 new cases of COVID-19 in Nevada, along with 38 new deaths attributed to the disease.

There have been a total of 206,974 cases of COVID-19, including 2,825 deaths, reported in the state so far, per the Nevada Department of Health and Human Services.

The total number of hospitalized COVID-19 patients statewide, both confirmed and suspected, was 1,996, per the Nevada Hospital Association. Of those patients, 437 were in intensive care.

Hospitals reported 1,885 COVID-19 patients, down from 1,908 on Wednesday. The number of ICU beds used by COVID-19 patients dropped by 16, but was still relatively high at 442 in the latest COVID-19 report from the Nevada Department of Health and Human Services.

With 27 deaths reported statewide in the past 24 hours, Nevada’s 14-day rolling average is 22 deaths per day, according to data released Friday. Clark County reported 15 additional deaths.

The 1,853 cases reported statewide brought Nevada’s total to 214,064. Clark County reported 1,344 new cases, for a total of 161,913.

More than 1,000 coronavirus cases have been reported in Nevada in 51 of the past 52 days.
