The Tennessee Department of Health reported 3,967 new COVID-19 cases on Thursday, bringing the total number of cases reported in the state to 388,252.

Ninety-three additional people have died from COVID-19, the highest single-day increase in deaths reported. TDH has attributed 4,781 deaths to COVID-19.

Hospitals statewide reported 2,476 active COVID-19 patients overnight.

The health department reported 4,356 new cases, bringing the state to 392,608 total cases. Of those cases, 360,201 are confirmed and 32,407 are probable.

TDH also confirmed 95 additional deaths, bringing Tennessee up to 4,876 total deaths.

There are 2,485 people currently hospitalized in the state.

The Tennessee Department of Health reported 4,914 new cases and 29 additional deaths Saturday. This is the state's worst week of the pandemic so far, in terms of new cases and deaths.

The state reported 34,056 new cases in the last 7 days, beating the previous record-high week, November 8, by about 4,000 cases

The weekly increase of 364 new deaths tops the previous record from two weeks ago by about 30 cases.

This update brings the total case count to 397,522. So far 4,905 Tennesseans have lost their lives to the virus. More than 1,000 of those deaths come from the last 3 weeks.

There are currently 2,465 patients hospitalized with confirmed cases of COVID-19.

The department reported 8,136 new cases, putting the state at 408,730 total cases, a 2% day-to-day increase since Sunday.

Of the total cases, 373,537 are confirmed and 35,193 are probable. There are currently 40,903 active cases.

Tennessee’s seven-day new cases average increased slightly to 4,891 additional cases per day, while the 14-day new cases average rose to 4,584.

Tennessee has now surpassed 5,000 total deaths since the start of the pandemic. TDH confirmed 66 additional deaths, bringing the state up to 5,009 total deaths. Over the first week of December, the state has reported an average of 58 deaths per day.

The state also reported a new record-high for current COVID hospitalizations. There are 2,529 people currently hospitalized in Tennessee. The number of total COVID hospitalizations now sits at 12,638.

Tennessee Department of Health reports 100 deaths in a single day, which is the most since the coronavirus pandemic began.

The state also reported 6,019 new cases of COVID-19 as well as an 18.47% positive for Tuesday as 30,659 new tests have been added to the count.

There is also three new current hospitalizations

The department reported 8,213 new cases, putting the state at 422,962 total cases, a 1.5% day-to-day increase since Tuesday. Of the total cases, 385,948 are confirmed and 37,014 are probable. There are currently 40,940 active cases.

Wednesday’s new cases total marks a record-high single-day increase for the state, surpassing the previous record of 8,136 set just two days earlier on Monday. The state has reported more new cases in the first four days of this week (25,440) than the first three months of the pandemic combined (23,006).

The state has reported an average of 63 deaths per day during the month of December. As of Wednesday, Tennessee has reported 569 deaths this month, ranking higher than the total deaths reported in March (23), April (176), May (165), June (240), and July (456).

In Tennessee, state health officials reported more than 6,000 new cases on Thursday. There were more than 8,000 the day before.

At least 2,500 people were hospitalized Wednesday with COVID-19 statewide — more than 600 of which were in the intensive care unit, according to the Tennessee Department of Health.

The Tennessee Department of Health has identified 7,289 new coronavirus cases and 87 additional deaths in the last 24 hours.

The health department has identified a total of 436,262 cases and 5,327 virus-related deaths since the beginning of the pandemic.

The total COVID-19 case count for Tennessee is 436,262 as of December 11, 2020 including 5,327 deaths, 2,640 current hospitalizations and 383,478 are inactive/recovered.

The Tennessee Department of Health reported 6,691 additional COVID-19 cases and 73 deaths Saturday, capping off the state's worst week of the pandemic in terms of new cases and deaths.

There were 45,431 additional cases reported this week, beating the previous record set last week by over 10,000 cases.

There were 495 additional deaths reported this week, beating last week's record by about 130 deaths.

The state also reported 2,699 current hospitalizations today.

There are currently 57,952 active cases, the highest number of active cases Tennessee has seen since the pandemic began.

TDH also confirmed 62 additional deaths, bringing Tennessee up to 5,462 total deaths. The state is averaging 66 new deaths per day during the month.

The state reported 2,680 people are currently hospitalized in Tennessee due to COVID-19.

There are currently 68,661 active COVID-19 cases in Tennessee, the highest number of active cases since the start of the pandemic.

TDH confirmed 177 additional deaths, bringing the state up to 5,845 total deaths. This marks the state’s highest single-day increase for deaths, surpassing the previous record of 100 set on December 8. The state is averaging 73 new deaths per day during the month of December.

There are 2,897 people currently hospitalized in Tennessee. The number of total COVID hospitalizations now sits at 13,537.

The state has reported an increase of 50,277 new cases this week, making it the worst week for new cases, surpassing last week’s record of 45,431.

Tennessee has reported an increase of 118,737 new cases in December so far, which already ranks as the state’s worst month for new cases of the virus. December has surpassed the previous record of 113,821 new cases set in November.

The CDC now lists Tennessee as the state with the highest average daily cases per 100,000 in the last seven days. The state is averaging 129.4 new daily cases per 100K in that time period. The second closest, Oklahoma, is averaging 98 new cases per 100K.

Through the first 17 days of December, Tennessee has also reported 1,243 additional deaths, only six deaths shy of the record 1,249 the state reported in the month of November.

Thursday’s record-high 177 deaths are more than the state added during the entire month of April (176) or May (165).

The Tennessee Department of Health announced 9,689 new cases of COVID-19 on Sunday.

To date, there have been 519,987 cases of the coronavirus reported in the state, of which 78,639 cases are active.

Tennessee confirmed 54 new deaths over the last 24 hours. In all, 6,071 people have died as a result of the virus.

There are currently 2,789 hospitalizations connected to the coronavirus in Tennessee.

Tennessee is now ranked as the worst state for new COVID-19 cases in the United States, according to newly-released data from the CDC.

Tennessee's average daily cases per 100k over the last seven days sits at 128.1.

Wednesday set a new single-day case record, with 11,410 new cases reported by the state health department.

Department of Health Commissioner Dr. Lisa Piercey says COVID patients now account for 25 percent of all hospital beds and 40 percent of all ICU beds statewide.

The department has now reported a total of 519,687 total cases in Tennessee, with 2,789 currently hospitalized.

New case data released Thursday afternoon kept Tennessee in the top spot for the third consecutive day with an average daily case rate (per 100k over the last seven days) of 119.1.

The Tennessee Department of Health reported 5,257 new cases of COVID-19 and 51 additional deaths in the state on Wednesday.

Wednesday, Dec. 16 set a new single-day case record for Tennessee, with 11,410 new cases reported by the state health department.

As of Friday, Dec. 25 the department has reported a total of 546,497 total cases in Tennessee, with 2,944 currently hospitalized.

For Christmas Day, the health department reported 9,230 new cases, bringing the state to 555,727 total cases. Of those cases, 492,730 are confirmed and 62,997 are probable.

TDH also confirmed five additional deaths, bringing Tennessee up to 6,436 total deaths.

There are 2,875 people currently hospitalized in the state as of Christmas Day.

For December 26, the state reported 5,165 new cases, bringing the state to 560,892 total cases. Of those cases, 497,374 are confirmed and 63,518 are probable.

TDH also confirmed seven additional deaths, bringing Tennessee’s death toll to 6,443.

Currently, there are 2,819 people hospitalized in Tennessee.
