The Georgia Department of Public Health on Tuesday reported 2,337 additional confirmed cases of COVID-19.

As of Tuesday, a total of 808,416 confirmed cases had been reported by the state Department of Public Health.

The agency on Tuesday reported 75 additional confirmed deaths related to COVID-19, bringing the state’s total to 14,761 confirmed deaths since the start of the pandemic.

Georgia was reporting a total of 182,405 antigen positive cases and 2,166 “probable” deaths on Tuesday.

On Tuesday, 284 additional hospitalizations were reported, bringing the state’s total to 55,167 since the outbreak began.

As of 3 p.m., there have been 14,882 deaths in Georgia, an increase of 121 since the previous day.

There have been 810,473 cases confirmed in Georgia, an increase of 2,057 since the previous day.

There have been 55,394 total patients hospitalized in Georgia during the pandemic, an increase of 227 since the previous day according to the Department of Public Health's cumulative total.

The Georgia Emergency Management Agency began reporting current statewide hospitalizations on May 1. That day they reported 1,500 current hospitalizations.

According to Georgia's new database, as of Feb. 23, there were 2,165 current hospitalizations – a decrease of 97 hospitalizations from the previous day.

As of Thursday, a total of 812,612 confirmed cases had been reported by the state Department of Public Health.

The agency on Thursday reported 107 additional confirmed deaths related to COVID-19, bringing the state’s total to 14,989 confirmed deaths since the start of the pandemic.

Georgia was reporting a total of 184,776 antigen positive cases and 2,210 “probable” deaths on Thursday.

On Thursday, 210 additional hospitalizations were reported, bringing the state’s total to 55,604 since the outbreak began.

As of the Georgia Department of Public Health’s latest update, the state reports that 814,820 people have tested positive for COVID-19 statewide, with 55,778 hospitalized for treatment, and 15,007 Georgians who have died to the virus.

COVID-19 case numbers have gone up since our last update, Feb. 25, 2021 as the state of Georgia reported 812,612 patients were confirmed to have the coronavirus. The state report says 2,265 new cases were confirmed on Feb. 26, 2021.

Georgia was reporting a total of 187,214 antigen positive cases and 2,227 “probable” deaths on Saturday.

On Saturday, 185 additional hospitalizations were reported, bringing the state’s total to 55,963 since the outbreak began.

Sunday saw 1,554 new confirmed cases and 920 Antigen positive cases.

That brings the statewide total to 818,516 confirmed cases and 188,005 Antigen positive cases.

Georgia is also reporting 15,068 confirmed deaths, an increase of 2 in the past day, and 56,039 hospitalizations, an increase of 76.

As of 3 p.m., February 28th, there have been 38,028 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in residents of the Coastal Health District and 677 deaths.

The Georgia Department of Public Health reported 80 virus-related deaths Monday, raising the total to 15,148, with 2,228 probable deaths related to the virus.

Georgia also reported 1,227 new COVID-19 cases bringing the state to 819,730 cases since the start of the pandemic.

Georgia has reported 188,930 antigen cases — an increase of 1,003 antigen cases from the previous day — since the start of the pandemic. Antigen cases show results from rapid virus tests.

More than 56,000 people have been hospitalized across the state due to COVID-19, according to the report, with 9,132 admitted to an ICU.

Thursday’s latest official totals from the Georgia Department of Public Health show 16,053 deaths among 839,823 cases. That was an increase of 1,286 confirmed cases and 57 newly reported deaths.

Georgia has reported 841,084 cases since the start of the pandemic, a case increase of 1,261 from the previous day.

The state has reported 16,095 deaths — an increase of 42 from the number of deaths reported Thursday — with 2,369 probable deaths related to the virus.

Georgia has reported 201,333 antigen cases — an increase of 339 antigen cases from the previous day — since the start of the pandemic. Antigen cases show results from rapid virus tests.

More than 57,000 people have been hospitalized across the state due to COVID-19, according to the report, with 9,460 admitted to an ICU.

More than 7.58 million COVID-19 tests have been performed with a 10.7% positive rate, health officials reported.

The state has performed more than 490,000 antibody tests — which show signs of past infection — with the state reporting a 16.8% positivity rate.

That brings the statewide total to 842,251 confirmed cases and 201,883 Antigen positive cases.

COVID-19 case rate has increased 204% in last 2 weeks as Delta variant spreads in GA

Officials with the Georgia Department of Health said that yesterday, new cases totaled 4,612 – which is the highest daily number since mid-February. Hospitalizations have increased by 50% and deaths have increase about 18% in the same time period.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) estimates the Delta variant accounts for 78% of new COVID cases in Georgia, making vaccination more urgent than ever.
